Climate Control A geothermal heating and cooling system is controlled in each suite by a wall-mounted thermostat. To activate either a heating or cooling option, push the up and down arrow keys; once you have activated the thermostat, push the mode button to cycle between both heating and cooling. To change the temperature setting in your room, use the up and down arrow keys. Other keys are used for programming and will not function. Please note that due to our geothermal system, if the outside temperature drops below 5oC, the air conditioning function will no longer be available. In winter months, opening a balcony door or window can quickly cool the room. If you are unable to adjust the temperature to your liking, please contact Guest Services for assistance. Sliding Doors To open your patio door, turn the handle to the horizontal position. Pull the entire door away from the frame towards you until it clicks into position, and then slide it open. To close the door, slide the door all the way across, and push it back into the closed position. To lock the door, turn handle from horizontal to the down position. You can also tilt the door so that only the top portion remains open. To do this, from the closed position, turn the handle to the upright position and pull the door away from the frame towards you. The door will then sit at a tilt position to allow air into the room without the door being fully open. It is not recommended to close the balcony door from the outside. Television Your television remote control can be found either on the living room table or on the bed. The red button in the center at the top turns the television on and off. Channel 2 will provide a TV listing for your convenience. Bathroom Amenities We have a supply of razors, toothbrushes, toothpaste and many other essentials on hand. For your peace of mind, bathroom amenities are individually sealed. Please contact the Front Desk to have them delivered to your room. In-room Safe You will find an in-room safe in the closet of your suite. Instructions on how to create a 4-digit code are on the inside of the safe door. If you require assistance, please contact the Front Desk. Hide-away Kitchenette Your room is equipped with a hide-away kitchenette, which includes a kettle, toaster, microwave, Nespresso® machine, sink, and fridge. For extra cutlery and crockery, please dial ‘0’ from your in-room phone. Alternatively place your request by texting our virtual assistant, Alice, on 604.229.5702. Internet Complimentary wireless high speed Internet is available in all of our guest rooms as well as the common areas in the Lodge. To connect to the Internet, you may use the cable within your suite or our wireless connection “Nita Lake Lodge – Guest”. Our Front Desk team will happily share the password with you. Fireplaces Fireplaces are operated by turning on the switch located around the corner from the fireplace. It takes a few moments to start up after the switch is flicked on. The fireplaces can quickly heat the room and we recommend that they be switched off when you are leaving your suite. Noise Policy We would ask for your cooperation in respecting the sleep of all guests in the Lodge. After 10:00 pm we enforce a strict, zero-tolerance policy for any noise complaints and we ask that all non-registered guests leave the guest rooms. Violators are responsible for any compensation deemed appropriate by Management to other guests as a result of noise complaints. Housekeeping Our daily housekeeping service is available for your comfort using our COVID-19 best practise. Stayover Service will be conducted between 8am and 4pm. If you do not wish to have stayover service, please place your do not disturb sign facing forward on the exterior door handle. We kindly ask that you are not in the room while it is being cleaned. If there is a specific time you would like to request service, please let our team know. Room Service For your comfort and convenience, we’re pleased to introduce our new Room Service options. To order, please dial 5711 from your in-room phone or visit the host stand at the lobby level. A menu may be found on our website: www.nitalakelodge.com/roomservice (Please note that an auto-gratuity of 18% applies to all room service orders. Take out option is available, too) Smoking Nita Lake Lodge is a smoke-free facility. This includes tobacco, marijuana and e-cigarettes. The policy covers the entire property including all patios and guest room balconies. A cleaning fee starting from $250 will be charged to the room if this policy is breached. Check Out Check-out time is 11:00am. We are pleased to assist with luggage at your departure, and please connect with the Front Desk to request assistance. A late check-out may be granted based on availability and may incur additional fees. If you are checking out and not leaving Whistler until later in the day, we can store your luggage at the Front Desk. You may still make use of the shuttle service at no extra cost. Ice, Soft Drinks and Water The ice machine is located on the 2nd floor across from room 213. If you would prefer ice to be delivered to your room, please contact the Front Desk. The soft drink vending machines are also located on the 2nd floor across from room 213. Alternatively, enjoy pure, fresh water from your tap and feel good about reducing plastic waste. Lakeside Plunge Pool & Hot Tub Our plunge pool and lakeside hot tub are both perfect for families! They’re located behind Cure Lounge & Patio on the far right of the lakeside patio. You can access this by following the signs in the lobby, past Cure Lounge & Patio towards the Library and then left through the doors. The pool and hot tub are both heated and available from 8:00 am to 10:00 pm daily, year- round (except Mondays, when they close at 8:00 pm for maintenance). In the winter months, please be careful as the floor may be slippery. Rooftop Hot Tubs As of June 22nd 2020, the rooftop hot tubs are reserved for the exclusive use of spa guests only. This is to minimize congestion of the spa deck and to ensure adequate physical distancing. We apologise for any inconvenience that this may cause. Bike/Ski Storage Bike or ski storage is not permitted in guest rooms. Our storage space is complimentary for bikes, skis, golf and sporting equipment or any additional luggage you may have. We would be happy to assist you with your bags. Please contact the Front Desk for storage or more information. Any equipment found in the rooms will be removed and a housekeeping fee will be applied. Complimentary ski lockers are provided at the base of Whistler Creekside during the winter months. Parking Underground parking is available for $20 + tax per night. A number of EV charging stations are available for guests. To mitigate the risk of exposure to COVID-19, valet parking is not available at this time. Shuttle We are pleased to offer a courtesy shuttle service to assist you in getting to and from Whistler Village. Our shuttle is practicing physical distancing and is therefore limiting passenger numbers at this time. It runs on a loop during the winter months and an on-call basis during the spring, summer and fall. Please contact the Front Desk if you would like to use the shuttle service. Laundry and Dry Cleaning We offer external dry cleaning and laundry service. You will find a form and bag located in your closet. Please complete the form, place your items in the bag provided and drop it at the Front Desk. If you require a ‘same day service’ we will need to receive your laundry before 9:00 am. We will have it returned to you by 6:00 pm. Please note this service is available Monday through to Saturday. Laundry service is not available on Sundays. To do your own laundry, coin-operated washers and dryers are located on the parking level - turn left out of the guest elevators. The cost is $2.50 per wash and $2.00 per dry. Only $1 and 25¢ coins are accepted; change is available at the Front Desk. Soap and fabric softener are also available for $1 per box from the Front Desk. Pet Policy Nita Lake Lodge is a pet-friendly property, except for restricted areas which are Cure Lounge & Patio, Aura Restaurant, Fix Café, The Spa, pool and hot tubs. We kindly ask that you please respect other guests of the hotel by keeping your pet under supervision at all times. If you are traveling with your pet, we require that there be no more than two pets per room. There is a $25 Housekeeping fee per night, which can be settled upon check out. We will provide you with a Pet Waiver to sign on check- in. In the case of any complaints received regarding an unsupervised pet, we reserve the right to remove the pet immediately from the guest room. Pet sitting fees of $75 per incident will apply. Any noise complaints that result in compensation to other guests of the hotel will be charged to the pet owner’s room.
Complimentary Bicycles - Seasonal - 2 Hour Rental Nita Lake Lodge has a limited number of complimentary commuter bikes available for summer as well as 2 fat bikes available in the winter. We also provide mandatory helmets as well as locks, which are available to guests at no charge. Please see the Front Desk where a Guest Service Agent will assist you in completing the required release forms and equip you with a bike and helmet. Children’s bikes and chariot are available upon request; children under the age of 16 must be supervised by an adult at all times. Bikes are sanitized between each use for your peace of mind. This is not your average hotel gym! We offer something very unique... Our fitness facility is a shared co-op space between Basecamp Fitness and Nita Lake Lodge. It is located on the ground floor, and it is accessible for all hotel guests to use on a complimentary basis between the hours of 5:00 am and 11:00 pm. Please use your room key for access. If you wish to get more out of your Whistler fitness experience, be sure to connect with the Basecamp team - they are the top rated personal training studio in the valley and they have over 20 years of experience! Hotel guests can book training sessions, group fitness classes , and even head out on outdoor adventures with the Basecamp Fitness team. Please note these services are by appointment only and for an additional fee. What you need to know before you go: • Be sure to check out the CODE OF CONDUCT at the entry door when you arrive. • Proper gym attire and shoes are required (no outdoor shoes please – especially in the winter). We have a turf floor that does not like wet or dirty footwear. • All guests are welcome to book the services of the Basecamp Team to assist you with your fitness experience - there are personal training and class options to choose from. • Children age 16 or under must be supervised by a parent/guardian at all times while using gym equipment. • The Basecamp Fitness team is more than happy to assist you and answer any questions you may have in regards to services or equipment use; however, please be mindful if they are working with clients. Peak gym hours are Monday – Friday between 7.00 am – 10.00 am. If you are looking for a quieter gym experience we recommend avoiding the above times. 11
