Table Tennis Group On October the 2nd 2019 we were busy set- ting up our Game Booth for this year’s Oktoberfest. Like every year before, there were many hands available to tackle this difficult job. So our group is now looking forward to another successful Oktoberfest 2019. Lately we have had always a good turnout from our group on our Thursday’s game night. Thus far, we have secured 30 donations and look forward to surpass- ing our new goal of 45 for the 2019 year; we know we can do it, and we’d love for you to join us. Some members of our group enjoyed danc- ing the night away and celebrating the crow- ing of a new Weinkönigen, at Winzerfest while enjoying yet another scrumptious meal prepared by Chef Jeff and his team. Outdoor Group Weinkönigin 2019 A huge Thank You to everyone who helped Erica Kuers with setting up, tearing down and especial- ly volunteering in our Oktoberfest Booths! This is our main fundraiser and all the rev- enue goes right back into next year’s events. Seniorengruppe Unser Treffen im Oktober fand am 2. des Monats in der Weinstube statt und litt wahrscheinlich wegen der Bauarbeiten an der Ottawa Street unter einer etwas schwachen Beteiligung. Gluecklicherweise wird das Oktoberfest wie angekündigt nicht unter den Bauarbeiten leiden, da die Arbeiten bis dahin abgeschlossen sein wer- den. Diskussionthema war vorbereitend unser Weihnachtsessen. Entscheiden über Art und Tageszeit wollen wir beim nächsten Treffen, wenn die Mehrheit der Mitglieder anwesend ist. Das traditionelle Singen fiel wegen Abwesenheit unserer Pianistin und des Pianos aus.
