St Andrews Links - The New Course The oldest ‘new’ course in the world, the second course at the “Home of Golf ” was built by the Keeper of the Green Tom Morris in 1895, and it was imaginatively named to differentiate from its famous neighbor. Boasting undulating fairways and challenging greens, the New Course is a classic test of Links. For more than 600 years, St Andrews Links has felt the tread of every great champion and flinched as millions of golfers have hammered and hacked, swatted and swiped at balls of wood, leather, gutta percha and balata. It has felt the caress of hickory and the sharp assault of blades of steel and titanium. It is a living, breathing timeline with each and every single person who walks upon it an integral part of our history, our love and our passion for this place.
