Best of luck to all teams. Support welcome as always. For full fixture list including all Juvenile games, see link to website here Message From Fixtures Committee The inclement weather we are having at present has caused the pitches to be top heavy, will teams please do their warm up drills on the side off the pitch or behind the end line, and also ask opposition to do same. If the opposition’s grounds are unplayable we are not in a position of host the game. Please do not contact Fixtures to see if we can host it. Check the Fixtures on the Na Fianna web site to see the venue and time of your game, as we get fixtures in from four different County Boards with multiple teams being fixed for same venue and time. If a game on the Na Fianna website is different than that issued by the County Board it is the responsibility of the team mentor to contact the opposition and referee of the change. Many thanks for your co-operation. Na Fianna Nuacht 23ú Feabhra 2020 3

Na Fianna Nuacht Comhbhrón Sincere sympathies of the Club are offered to the Cullen family on the passing of Frank Cullen, Father of former Hurling and Football player and Camogie mentor Fran, Father in law of former Na Fianna Executive Committee member and Assistant Treasurer and former Football and Camogie player Karen Fox, Grandfather of Rebecca (Junior Camogie), Hannah and Sarah (Minor Football and Camogie). Sincere sympathies of the Club are also offered to the Ó Conghaile family and to our friends in nearby Setanta GAA Club on the passing last weekend of Prionsias, founding member of Cumann Báire Setanta, former Na Fianna member and member of the Ó Conghaile family who had a long association with CLG Na Fianna. Members might be interested to learn that Prionsias’s late father Benny, was involved in the dismantling and re-erection of the original Na Fianna clubhouse. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anamacha. ……and finally Congrats to Na Fianna’s Gretta Gray, former Club Secretary and one of the Club’s Camogie pioneers, who featured in last week’s Herald in a piece on the development of Camogie in Dublin. Gretta was being interviewed following publication of her writings in Stories From Ordinary Lives published by SilverThread. Na Fianna Nuacht 23ú Feabhra 2020 11
Na Fianna Nuacht Fógra Tabachtach The objective of Na Fianna Nuacht is to communicate as much club activity as possible however it is important to note that all items for inclusion in either Club Notes or Na Fianna Nuacht are reported to news@clgnafianna.ie or texted to 087 9250697 by Sunday evening. With a growing membership of almost 3,000 and over 100 teams now competing it is difficult to ensure all club activity is reported upon – Do not assume that your team’s activity is already known to Na Fianna Nuacht or that someone else has reported it. When errors or omissions occur it is the policy of Na Fianna Nuacht to correct these in subsequent issues when they are reported to news@clgnafianna.ie Na Fianna Nuacht 23ú Feabhra 2020 12
