MyCareersProfile Presentation All year 11s are given the opportunity to undertake these tests and have their own career profile created. This will then be used by the Careers Advisor as a starting point for conversations around careers. A letter concerning this has been sent to all year 11 parents. This presentation just gives you lots more information about what the Careers Profile will consist of. Any questions then please contact BEC Office on: 01295 234237.

What We Are Trying to Help Avoid Students who: • leave school without taking up suitable careers advice (push/pull). • realise they have made the wrong choices for school subjects at GCSE and A Levels and can’t pursue their preferred career or FE course. • arrive at University or College realising they don’t like the course or the career path they have chosen. • have selected a career destiny based on ability/course grades alone and not a combination of both interests and abilities.
