Thursday, October 14th and Friday, October 15th, 2021 Mindful Lawyering Welcome to the Virtual 18th annual Louisiana Justice Community Conference. The Louisiana State Bar Association is proud to offer this event online and free to Louisiana civil legal aid attorneys. This is a time to focus on supporting access to justice through training, networking, and collaborations. This year’s theme is Mindful Lawyering – focused on mental health and wellness of the attorneys and clients in the access to justice community. During this year’s conference, expect educational programming that promotes the well-being of the civil legal aid community and supports clients with legal care during uncertain times in the face of natural disasters and the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also be a time of celebration, as we recognize the outstanding work of our public interest peers at the sixth annual Civil Legal Aid Awards Ceremony. We are also excited to also introduce Justice Fridays in the weeks following the conference, where public interest focused online trainings will continue and be provided throughout the year. More information about these events will be made available through the LSBA website at www.lsba.org/cle. The conference will be hosted online. If you have not already registered for the conference, register here to receive the Zoom webinar links for each day of the conference.
