Fortune Circle Art Installation TEMPORARY LOCATION: MARKET CITY SHOPPING CENTRE SYDNEY Melissa created a site-specific art installation for Chinese New Year that referenced the Chinese tradition of fortune sticks, using hundreds of hand-painted pieces of wood to create a helical spiral form. When viewing the sculpture from Level 2, the circle formation is visible, which symbolises harmony, balance and good fortune. The sculpture also had a suspended floating element using individual sticks. The size was 8 metres long by 2.5 metres high.
Airwave Art Installation LOCATION: AIR NIGHTCLUB, PERTH AUSTRALIA Melissa created a site-specific art installation that represents a suspended cloud-like formation, to complement the nightclub theme and to create a unique experience for the attendees. The art installation was 7 x 4 metres wide and consisted of over 1,000 suspended pieces of acrylic plastic and fishing line.
Connected Art Installation LOCATION: HUTTENPALAST, BERLIN GERMANY The art installation was created during an art residency in Berlin, Germany and represents the connection between people - isolation verses connection. Materials were recycled t-shirt fabric on foam board. The artwork was 2.5 metres tall by 1.2 metres wide.

Through the tunnel Art Installation TEMPORARY LOCATION: BEAMS ART FESTIVAL SYDNEY Concept: Moments in time is to pass through a web of consciousness, to be present in all senses, to experience the moment, and unleash the curiosity within.' The art installation is a 9 metre glowing tunnel of woven macrame fabric with projected UV Lights that glows in the night. The tunnel is designed to be sustainable and environmentally friendly through the use of recycled fabric and low powered UV Fluorescent lighting. The tunnel is an interactive work, where people can walk through a web of woven glowing fabric, creating a unique engaging experience for the viewer, and aims to unleash their playful, cheeky and child-like side as they duck and weave through the tunnel. The tunnel can be touched, and has a breath-like quality, as it slightlymoves, wobbles and bounces while people pass through.
