Masterclass Acting Training 2022
Our Masterclass course examines an advanced actor’s perspective
on script and character development, including theme, plot, scene
construction, substitutions, action, and dialogue, while encouraging
the actor’s ability to create rich and full characters.

At AAM, our comprehensive classes will adequately prepare our
Artists for TV and film casting opportunities offered through Agency
representation. Our leading industry professionals work with the Artists
to deliver authentic, emotional performances and responses through
the art of storytelling.

In a profession that is often extremely competitive, it is essential
that our Artists continue to strengthen their performance skills. AAM
provides quality training by the best professionals in the industry. Our
students are left feeling confident in their performing abilities and
more grounded and connected to their innate creativity.

We will cover the following throughout the year:

o creativity, visualisation and improvisation
o body movement and awareness
o emotional awareness
o voice projection and speech articulation
o script, scene and character analysis/substitutions/constructions
o the casting (audition) process
o Stanislavsky and Meisner techniques
o Chekov and Shakespeare
o cold reads (receiving a script on the spot to read)
o screen tests (filmed casting)
o accent work and so much more!

Meet Our Acting Coach
MARK FANTASIA

Mark Fantasia is an Actor, Director and Writer from Adelaide,
South Australia. Before graduating with Honors from the Flinders
University Drama Centre he also studied a Bachelor of Science
at the University of South Australia. Mark has also trained
with various Acting Schools in Los Angeles, learning Meisner
and Stanislavsky acting methods. Mark will implement these
acting techniques during all our sessions with his main
focus on developing and building on the fundamental skills
required for those wanting to improve their on screen acting
techniques and methods in preparation for TV and Feature
Film castings.

Mark has worked as an Actor, Writer and Director in both film
and theatre and was a founding member of Adelaide based and
award winning theatre company Accidental Productions. He was
part of the Best Ensemble awarded by the Adelaide Theatre Guide for
his role as Ben in Worlds End.

His first short film, ‘Destinations’, funded by Screen Australia as part    Mark Fantasia
of the Raw Nerve Initiative, garnered five nominations including Best
Writer and Best Director at the 2006 South Australian Short Screen
Awards. He was also part of the South Australian Film Corporation
Script Development Mentorship for his feature film script ‘First Timers’.

In 2018, his feature film ‘The Beautiful Game’ was a second round
consideration for the Sundance Development Track.

Mark’s insight and knowledge has been such a significant addition to
our Acting course and we are thrilled to have him apart of the AAM
team for 2022!

Meet Our Acting Coach
TONY KNIGHT

Tony Knight was educated at Sydney Grammar School, and trained
at the Drama Centre London, which includes in its alumni Colin
Firth, Frances de la Tour, Paul Bettany, Penelope Wilton, Michael
Fassbinder and Tom Hardy.

Tony has worked as a professional acting teacher and director,
and was the Head of Acting at Australia’s National Institute of
Dramatic Art (NIDA) for 25 years, training some of Australia’s
most celebrated national and international actors, such as Cate
Blanchett, Sam Worthington, Alex O’Loughlin and Miranda
Otto.

Tony has taught, directed and lectured in many parts of the
world, including Australia, the USA, Japan, Romania, Singapore
and Tonga. He has a passionate interest in all the performing arts,
and dedicated to improving the training of young actors. For the past
five years Tony has been the Program Leader for the Musical Theatre

Tony is now residing in Adelaide, South Australia as a freelance
teacher and completing his PhD on Richard Burbage: Shakespeare’s
Actor & the Art of ‘Personation’. Tony provides his wealth of
knowledge and experience to our Masterclass students and
professional Actors with weekly private and group training.

Once we have received your registration forms, we will send you an invoice to be paid prior to
the commencement of the term. Please forward all payments via electronic funds transfer to

Terms and Conditions

1. The terms and conditions of this agreement entered into by the Business and the Client is for
the provision of acting training services.
              o Business being Adelaide Artist Management
              o Client/Clientele being the persons who have initialled as the Talent/Parent and/or
              Guardian on the terms and conditions form below

2. The Client will be liable to pay the deposits and/or full payments as and when requested by
Adelaide Artist Management. If the Client wishes to cancel this agreement previous to the date
of their training, Adelaide Artist Management will be entitled to retain the deposit and/or full
payments as liquidated damages.

3. No refunds or makeup sessions will be issued or unable to be transferred to another term for
any missed session dates or change of mind.

4. Sessions affected by Covid 19 lockdowns will either be rescheduled at another time or
conducted via zoom. Refunds will not be issued.

5. Copyright and intellectual property of original images or footage taken in the form of negatives,
digital files and printed photographs shall remain the property of and with Adelaide Artist
Management. All other property rights in the negatives or raw files shall remain with Adelaide
Artist Management. All images taken by Adelaide Artist Management or its agents are not to be
reproduced, copied, manipulated or sold in any way.

6. Usage rights of any images, footage or screen tests featuring Client are for modelling and acting
purposes only and may be used in on our website or social media. The on selling of images is
prohibited unless negotiated by Adelaide Artist Management. All images and footage selected for
editing and printing are determined by Adelaide Artist Management.

7. All edited images or footage supplied by any photographers/videographers sub contracted by
Adelaide Artist Management must have their names mentioned in any social media posts. Images/
footage is not to be altered in any way i.e. phone/social media filters, Photoshop etc as all images
are copyrighted to the photographer/videographer. For Actors represented by Adelaide Artist
Management, any images placed on your website profile are selected by your Agent.

8. If Adelaide Artist Management or any of its Agents shall for any reason at all, be unable to
participate in the weekly training, a replacement Agent or date will be rescheduled in instead.

9. It is the responsibility of the Client to ensure that they have adequate levels of Workers
Compensation Insurance to cover them at all locations (including travel to and from a location) in
the event of an accident or medical episode. Adelaide Artist Management is not required to, nor
holds, any such insurance for Clients.

10. The Client understands that Adelaide Artist Management will take all reasonable care in
the event of an accident or illness but that it will not be responsible for any medical, dental,
ambulance, hospital or treatment costs administered to the Client in such an event nor will it be
responsible directly or indirectly for any act or omission of any medical practitioner or medical
officer attending or treating
the Client.

11. Adelaide Artist Management is not responsible for the misplacement or loss of any personal
items or belongings left on set or on any location.

12. Participating in our Acting courses does not guarantee Actor representation through AAM
or portfolio listing via our website. However, we do keep all Talent on file for future casting
opportunities should they fit the casting brief.

13. The Clients recognise that they have read the abovementioned terms and conditions and
understand that by signing this agreement they will be legally bound.
