Customers
President Cyril Ramaphosa addressed the nation on
28 February 2021, with an update on COVID-19
vaccines for South Africa, and the easing of certain
restrictions under Alert Level 1.
The most notable changes are: the decrease in
curfew hours, the unrestricted sale of alcohol, within
licensed trading hours, and the increase in capacity
for certain gatherings.
With the curfew being changed to 12am - 4am,
Eastgate Shopping Centre’s trading hours will
remain as follows:
Monday to Thursday: 9am – 7pm
Friday: 9am - 9pm
Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays: 9am – 6pm
Eastgate Shopping Centre’s stringent safety and
hygiene measures remain in place, to ensure the
health, safety and wellbeing of all shoppers,
staff and tenants.
We have positioned sanitising stations and signage
throughout the centre, to ensure the adherence of
physical distancing and the regulating of mask-
wearing at all times.
We appreciate your continued support and
cooperation in respecting these measures,
as stipulated by the South African Government.
