L I V I N G T H E GRANDE DUNES LIFE Who would have thought that in a few short months the world would change so much and that for a time we would change flip flops for face masks and suntan oil for hand sanitizer? I know everyone has been looking forward to the pool opening, enjoying beach chairs, umbrellas, live music, events and getting back to normal. So, we wanted to share some upcoming happenings that we can all look forward to. Of course, all of these events are contingent upon current health guidelines, conditions and the phase of reopening we are currently in. So keep this in mind, as all dates are subject to change. AUGUST: We are planning on having our 3rd Friday Live Music Event (pending) back by August 21st. We hope you can join us for a fun night of music and dancing. Also in August is an outdoor concert in Marina Park on August 25th! Our new Wine Around Club is planning its first outing on August 6th under the direction of Ambassador Suzanne Lopeszia. Stay informed by joining our private group on Facebook called Grande Dunes Resident Lifestyle. You can also keep up with everything going on at the club and in Grande Dunes with the monthly newsletter called “What’s UP at the OC?”. JUNE: Beach and pool chairs will be spaced apart to ensure a JULY: The month kicks off with our 2nd Annual Golf Cart Parade healthy distance. Grande Dunes Cares also did a food and paper drive for Backpack Buddies and Help4Kids in April and May. Thank you to everyone who donated all the food and paper products for those in need. We will be concentrating on helping our charities in the months to come. In the month of June we will focus on “A Day of Hope,” which helps underprivileged kids get ready for the new school year by supplying them with all their supplies and personal essentials as well as new socks and shoes, haircuts and dental checkups, etc. Thanks to their efforts, children can go to school feeling good and with hope in their hearts. Look for the donation boxes set out at the Ocean Club. We need your help to fill 150 bags of essentials.
