2021 BOARD ELECTION Eight Compete for Board Eight candidates submitted applications to serve on the Property Owners’ Association Board of Directors. Five seats are up for election in 2021 replacing director Peter Kirk Denger, interim directors Pam Avila and JoAnne Corry, and filling two vacated director positions. Applicants are (in alphabetical order): Linda Anderson, Pam Avila, Gary Belair, JoAnne (Joanie) Corry, Peter Kirk Denger, Chris Jones, Robert McLeod and Marcy G. Mermel. Candidates must be members in good standing with the Hot Springs Village Property Owners’ Association and may not be POA employees. This year the Board of Directors election will be conducted by The Inspectors of Election, a third-party election service. Ballots will be mailed to property owners in good standing on February 26, 2021. Detailed voting instructions are included in the ballot packets. Property owners will have the option to vote online or return the ballot provided by March 31, 2021. On April 1, 2021, the Inspectors of Election will prepare an Official Certification Report and provide the results of the election to the board. The General Manager will issue a press release with the results. Newly elected board members will be seated at the conclusion of the Wednesday, April 21, 2021 board meeting. The following eight candidates have been certified to be placed on the ballot. The order of appearance of the candidates’ names on the ballot shall be random order with each candidate’s name appearing first on the ballot an equal number of times, as mathematically possible.
