Resort in the Carolinas by Golf Digest in 2019 and
earning the Accommodation of the Year in the Golf
Advisor Travel Awards in 2018, we are dedicated to
the game of golf and those who play it.

Kiawah Island Golf Resort has been the site of some of
the most memorable tournaments in professional golf
history. Our résumé includes the dramatic 1991 Ryder
Cup, the 1997 and 2003 World Cups, the 2005 PGA
Professional National Championship, the 2007 Senior
PGA Championship and the prestigious 2012 PGA
Championship. The Ocean Course has once again been
named the site of the 2021 PGA Championship. The
second Major Championship in golf’s annual rotation, the
PGA Championship perennially features the strongest field
of players based on the Official World Golf Rankings.
We offer five world-class golf courses designed by Pete
Dye, Jack Nicklaus, Tom Fazio, Gary Player and Clyde
Johnston. Using the Island’s unspoiled setting of rolling
sand dunes, expansive saltwater marshes and tranquil
maritime forests, each architect has created a unique
expression of golf’s varied challenges and rewards.
Kiawah Island Golf Resort is proud to offer the services
of walking caddies and forecaddies at The Ocean Course.
The caddie program, established in 2000, has quickly
developed into a hallmark of The Ocean Course experience.
When combined with the natural seaside setting and
the award-winning Pete Dye design, walking The Ocean
Course with a caddie by your side ensures an unforgettable
round. Located on the exposed far eastern end of the
Island, The Ocean Course is buffeted by unpredictable
ocean winds. The knowledge and guidance of a caddie are
tremendously helpful for any player navigating the seaside
links of The Ocean Course and its unique challenges.
Our professional caddies impart their extensive knowledge
of every aspect of the course. They assist in reading greens,
providing accurate yardages and offering invaluable
strategic insight for playing each hole. Caddies also act
as on-course concierges, as they can provide information
about the history of the Island as well as the Resort’s other
exceptional golf courses and amenities.
The Ocean Course is walking all day (carts are permitted
only for tee times after 10 am June through August).
Caddies are not mandatory for golfers walking the course,
but are highly recommended. During the summer months,
carts are restricted to the paths and a forecaddie is required
for anyone utilizing a golf cart. There is no fee for caddie
services, but gratuities are graciously accepted. Recommended
gratuities are $100 per player for walking caddies and $50
per player for a forecaddie, commensurate with services
rendered. Caddie services may be reserved in advance at other
Kiawah Island Golf Resort courses, with availability based
on staffing levels.

Regarded as one of the finest golf courses in the world, The
Ocean Course is unmatched in design quality, shot values
and sheer beauty. The Atlantic Ocean can be seen from
every hole on the course. A modern course based on classic
design concepts, The Ocean Course is an easy walk with
short distances between greens and tees. In observance of the
traditions of the game and overall enjoyment, the course is
walking only. (Carts are allowed for tee times after 10 am
during June, July and August.)

Featuring three oceanfront holes, this characteristic Jack
Nicklaus design features ample fairways, approachable
greens, and strategically placed lagoons that put a premium
on accuracy and a carefully thought-out approach to each
shot. Turtle Point received glowing reviews from players
following a complete 2016 renovation by Jack Nicklaus
and his design team, which included regrassing all playing
surfaces with paspalum, rebuilding all bunkers, and laser
leveling all tee boxes.

additional teeing areas, providing new angles of attack into

Golf Learning Center
Located in the heart of Kiawah Island Golf Resort, our
Golf Academy is part of a total golf environment that
includes a state-of-the-art learning center. We are pleased
to offer a full range of instructional programs that
include private lessons, group clinics and presentations,
corporate programs and one-, two- or three-day golf
schools. Whether you are a scratch golfer or an absolute
beginner, we can help you reach your goals. Turtle
Point, with its central location at the Resort, is home
to the Tommy Cuthbert Golf Learning Center, named
in honor of a man who served as the Resort’s Director
of Golf for 26 years. This innovative facility features
private instructional areas (including seven covered
hitting bays for use in inclement weather), a state-of-
the-art computerized video swing analysis system, a
practice bunker and greens.
14The indoor studio features the V1 Teaching System, the
top video analysis system in golf, and the new Explanar
Professional Training System.
The golf shop features some of Kiawah’s tournament
history, as well as golf equipment from top manufacturers
including Titleist, Callaway, Cleveland, Ping and U.S.

BARTH-HAWTIN TENNIS ACADEMY
Summer / May 26 - August 27, 2021
The Barth-Hawtin Tennis Academy (BHTA) is designed
for junior players seeking success at the state, sectional and
national levels, including those preparing for college tennis.
Daily sessions include match play drills, on-court conditioning,
tactical training, technique assessment, mental toughness and
strategy. The BHTA is offered year-round (the daily schedule
changes in the summer). The daily sessions are two-and-a-half
hours in the morning and two-and-a-half hours in the
afternoon. Please call the pro shop for the schedule.
The Barth-Hawtin Tennis Academy prides itself on the personal
attention each participant receives from our excellent pro staff.
Fee is $700/week for full day and $480/week for half day.
Families of BHTA students will receive a 10% discount on

STROKE-A-DAY CLINICS
This program is for juniors 7-16 years old. We focus on
one stroke per day with emphasis on the fundamentals of
each stroke, ball control and footwork. Monday through
Friday. Ages 7-11 from 4pm-5pm and ages 12-16
from 3pm-4pm. $31 per person. Spring break, summer
and holidays.
JUNIOR CAMPS
Junior camps include ten hours of on-court instruction
incorporating basic strokes, singles and doubles strategy,
play-action drills and supervised play. The camp is scheduled
for two hours each morning for five days (Monday through
Friday, 8:30am-10:30am) with the afternoon open for
complimentary court time. $68/day or $305 per person for
the week. Summer only. Advanced reservations required.
Complimentary court time included for junior if in camp for at least

JUNIOR TOURNAMENT TOUGH WORKOUT
The Junior Tournament Tough Workout is for the

play, serve/return of serve and review/supervised play. Monday
through Friday, 10am-12:30pm and 3pm-5pm. Only a 5:1
student/pro ratio. Minimum age is 10 years old. AM session
is $85 per day or $360 per week. PM session is $68 per

EVENING ADULT DRILL SESSIONS
The evening adult drill sessions are a great way to get in a
workout after a full day of activities at the resort. Drill topics
include Groundstrokes on Tuesday, Net Play on Wednesday,
and Doubles Strategy on Thursday, from 5pm-6pm. $35 per
person. Summer only.
STROKE-A-DAY CLINICS*
Designed to improve one specific stroke for each one-hour
session, our Stroke-A-Day Clinics emphasize the key elements
of each stroke. We will help you improve your accuracy,
consistency and power. An excellent program to improve
your game. Adult clinics offered daily, 9am-10am and
10am-11am. $35 per person.
DRILL SESSIONS*
To complement our 10am Stroke-A-Day Clinic, you can
practice each stroke through a series of drills. Drills will
concentrate on, but will not be limited to, the 10am Stroke-
A-Day topic. Daily, 11am-noon. $35 per person.
*Stroke-A-Day and Drill Sessions: Minimum of two participants
to have clinic. If only one person participates in a clinic, the cost will
be $35 per ½ hour.
CAMP FOR A DAY
A great value for players looking to improve their strokes and
then gain confidence through drilling—all in one day. We
offer the Double Play Camp For a Day, which includes either
two Stroke-A-Day Clinics or one Stroke-A-Day Clinic and the
Drill Session. The Triple Play Camp For a Day includes two
Stroke-A-Day Clinics and one Drill Session. The Double Play
