“Centuries ago, gold- laden galleons and pirate ships cruised the Caribbean. Sailing here with a windjammer imparts a truly pristine and a very original seafaring feeling.” Christian Pfenninger Captain SEA CLOUD II Why is experiencing the Caribbean with the SEA CLOUDs so special? To get a feeling for the real Caribbean lifestyle, you have to slow down and take your time: Time for a chat with the fisherman who knows the best snorkeling spots; time to find the perfect anchorage with a volcano view. At SEA CLOUD CRUISES, we keep discovering the Caribbean time and time again, even with 40 years of experience. And we love to share this know-how with our guests. 4 5
“Lying at anchor in the lee of one of the little Grenadine islands and hearing the sound of a steel drum drift out over the water on the gentle trade wind is just wonderful.” Tom Hook Cruise Director Our crew: Deeply connected to the Caribbean Most of our crew members have been part of the SEA CLOUD family for many years and look forward to returning to the Caribbean every winter. Here, everyone has found their secret favorite spot and can reliably guide our windjammers to small island hideaways − whether it’s the old distillery with the most delicious rum or the quaintly decorated sailor’s bar. 6 7
“Small and fine – this concept favors us and the destinations in equal measure. As personal encounters and fairness are important to us, our yachts are always welcome guests in the Caribbean.” René Kronsteiner Hotel Manager Responsible tourism: Traveling with respect Travel rather than just pass through; encourage instead of overwhelm: As a sailing cruise operator, SEA CLOUD CRUISES focuses on a more mindful, slower way of tourism. A very limited number of guests, buying regionally, support for local projects. Not only do we have a long-standing partnership with our local service providers, but together we work to ensure that our Caribbean voyages also benefit the destinations. 8 9
Dream destination for yachts Whether it is the Lesser Antilles, Cuba or Jamaica – when it comes to the Caribbean, yachting enthusiasts will have a gleam of longing in their eyes. Understandably so, because with its consistent trade winds and extremely pleasant temperatures, the cruising area is an absolute dream destination for sailing yachts. Setting sails A little closer by hand than others In keeping with the old tradition, the Beyond the wide fairways, a Caribbean sails on our windjammers are still voyage becomes a very special hoisted by hand. The lifestyle of the yachties Between palm trees, beach and the ocean, life ticks at a different pace. No chance here for the hustle and bustle you are used to. It won’t take you long at all to tune in to Caribbean “island time”: Shoes off, smile, let your hair down. Relaxing is easy among like-minded sailing friends from all over the world. Sundowner Indulge the with a view Caribbean way In the Caribbean, life takes place outside – Orange papayas, bright red chilies and both ashore and on board. Jaunt to the beach When our windjammers drop anchor in front of an impressive backdrop, the next dream beach is often just a zodiac ride away. Around the Lesser Antilles, the crystal-clear water beckons you to swim and dive. The Caribbean is the perfect destination to drift through the day without a single thing to worry about. Dive in and be active Whether you want to start your swim directly from the ship or explore the colorful world on the reef – water sports are even more fun at bathtub temperatures. Equipment is available for everyone: Snorkels, fins and stand-up paddles are waiting for you. If you are in the mood for even greater action, let yourself be pulled through the waters on a towable tube. 14 15

“The British Virgin Islands are the cradle of my captaincy career. To me, sailing the Sir Francis Drake Channel feels like coming home.” Kathryn Whittaker Captain SEA CLOUD II Regatta on the jetset island of St Barths The fact that St Barths can only be reached by small aircraft or visited by the yachts of the world often attracts international celebrities. They come to enjoy relaxing and tranquil days on the beach in one of the chic beach clubs and the small town of Gustavia. A major highlight on the island is the annual Bucket Regatta: In this remarkable sailing event up to 30 stylish superyachts compete against one another. And on your SEA CLOUD, you have a box seat for this spectacle! Famous haunts for sailors and yachts We drop anchor in places that draw the smaller yachts from all over the world. The carefree way of life is highly infectious, and you will quickly strike up a conversation in the hidden coves and rustic beach bars. The Îles des Saintes are charmingly French; Virgin Gorda lures with the famous stone labyrinth “The Baths” and the Caribbean nonchalance is very much en vogue in Bequia. 18 19
“Each Caribbean island has its own charm, its own beauty. I can’t decide on one, so I truly enjoy visiting them all with the SEA CLOUD!” Tanja Sauer Cruise Director SEA CLOUD Beautiful beaches and idyllic coves The Caribbean also stands for a very special, rather unique attitude to life: That of pure joy and ease. When the sun twinkles through the palm trees and you dig your toes deep into the warm sand, you realize: Doing nothing is also a wonderful passtime. The islands of the Lesser Antilles enchant with long, tropical dream beaches. The crystal-clear water beckons to swim and snorkel; relaxed enjoyment awaits you on board or on the beach. 20 21
“Nowhere else is sailing into the sunset as stunning as here. Seeing the Pitons at evening twilight is always an impressing spectacle.” John Svendsen Captain SEA CLOUD Every island a new treasure chest While on St Lucia, the green volcanic plugs of the two Pitons almost regally greet the approaching SEA CLOUDs from afar, the natural beauty of Dominica holds back a little, yet fascinates with its lush national parks – one of them a UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site. And Grenada carries its name “Spice Island” for a good reason: Its air is heavy with the aromas of cloves, ginger and nutmeg. The green side of the Antilles The nature here is as colorful and spirited as the local people and the Creole culture. Volcanic lakes, waterfalls and gardens with tropical plants: On the more southern islands of the Antilles and the Grenadines, the Caribbean shows a completely different aspect. You can discover the diversity of the individual islands on our shore excursions into the hinterland. 22 23

“Only in the Caribbean can you return to the beach after an excursion to the hinterland for a BBQ with live music. It is simply paradise.” Andrea Bittner Cruise Director & Employee in Hamburg The colorful flair of the ABC Islands Coquettishly, Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao flirt with their colonial heritage. Besides the cheerful, colorful architecture of narrow, Dutch-gabled houses in the lively island capitals, colorful snorkeling paradises await. The three islands are as diverse as the alphabet. Bonaire surprises with a lot of nature and the famous salt lakes, around which it seems as though flamingos were the sole inhabitants of the island. Jamaica – a natural beauty Jamaica seems to have invented deceleration: Between natural beaches, the turquoise sea and coconut palms, everything on the sunny Rastafarian island breathes relaxation. The reggae music that Bob Marley introduced to the world sets the pace. The most scenic corner is the area around the small town of Port Antonio with its caves, rivers and waterfalls. It is not for nothing that Ian Fleming chose the island again and again as location for his James Bond movies. 26 27
“Exciting, intense, controversial – no other country has shaken me up as much as this small Caribbean island.” Sven Creutzmann Photo Journalist, at home in Havana Cuba, an island with vibrant temperament Whether in the hustle and bustle of Havana or in the colonial towns along the coast, Cuban life has a rhythm quite of its own. Beyond all the clichés of rum, revolution and cigars, the Caribbean island has retained its endearing charm and for many is still both a myth and a place of longing. It is virtually impossible not to succumb to Cuba’s fascination. Pure joie de vivre A journey to the Caribbean holds many emotional moments. Most moving is probably feeling the contagious joie de vivre of its people. Where catchy rhythms, cheerful temperament and the joy of being all merge into the unique Caribbean attitude towards life, the visitor quickly becomes a friend. Discover with us the Creole culture, the cradle of Son, and Cuba as close as never before. 28 29
“Here, influences from Africa, Europe and America come together – and create something completely new. Simply fascinating!” Bert Hoffmann Expert for Latin America & lecturer on board Ancient Mayan culture in Belize and Mexico Human sacrifices, astronomy, mysterious golden treasures – countless legends surround the culture of the Maya. When you travel to the fascinating temple sites in the rainforest and on the coast of Belize and Mexico, you will experience the mystery of the Maya first-hand. The enigmatic places of worship with their impressive stepped pyramids and artistic stone reliefs have not lost any of their magical appeal over the past millennia. Simply multifaceted: On land and at sea The contrasts could not be greater: In Central America, you will collect a colorful kaleidoscope of impressions in just a few days. It seems as if many treasures remained skillfully hidden from man over the years: Biodiversity in the Tortuguero National Park or the world’s second-largest coral reef in Belize. With the SEA CLOUD II you will get closer to the “Lighthouse Reef” and its Great Blue Hole than ever before. 30 31
