In the Gallery Fran Allin Hazel We welcome our current artist Fran Allin Hazel to our Gallery. Fran, a Mississippi native has been in love with painting since 1996. She is a self-taught artist who enjoys experimenting with several mediums but prefers oil. She considers herself an intuitive painter and specializes in organic abstract pieces and landscapes that combine interpretive marks with fields of color. In Fran's words, "Painting feeds my soul, keeps me in community and helps me find the extraordinary in the ordinary." Fran is an artist at the Colony of Georgia in Gainesville; and exhibits her pieces with Caroline Nix Gallery and the Gallery on the Square both in Gainesville. She currently lives in Gainesville, Georgia with her husband.
