CLASS 1: 80cm Grassroots Dressage Test 2018. Dressage tests may not be commanded. Fences maximum show jumping 85cm, cross country 80cm. Class 1 A – Pony Club Teams & Individuals: Area 9 Qualifying competition for the Regional Grassroots Championships at Rectory Farm on Monday 30th August 2021. Teams must consist of three or four members from each Branch/Centre of The Pony Club. Entries to be made directly @ horse-events.co.uk. Entries lists may be requested by Branch Team Managers from info@horse-events.co.uk from Monday 19th July. Declared teams must be returned to info@horse-events.co.uk by 5pm on Friday 23rd July. Eligibility – Riders are not eligible if they have previously represented their branch or centre at PC90 or above in any eventing area competitions. The combination of horse and rider is not eligible if they have competed at PC90 or above Eventing at Area or Championship level, or any BE90 competitions. Class 1 B – Individuals: Open to all CLASS 2 – 70cm PC Introductory Dressage Test 2019 . Dressage tests may be commanded. Fences maximum show jumping 75cm, cross country 70cm. Class 2 B – Individuals: Open to all Entry Fees Entry fees all classes Ledbury Members Non Members Late fee All team members and all individuals £55.00 £60.00 £15 Entry fee includes £9 for medical cover. No start fee, if space is available late entries may be accepted and will be subject to an extra fee of £15. You must enter this competition using your horse/ pony full passport name. Entries close: Friday 16th July 2021 or earlier if classes are full.
Rosettes : Individuals 1st to 8th Place, Best Dressage and Best LHPC in each section. Teams 1-6th Place for classes 1A & 1B. Times: will be available on Wednesday 28th July 2021, on the horse events website. Riders must print their own number and provide their own number bib. A number template will be provided with times. Course Walking: The course will be available to walk between 2pm and 7pm on Saturday 31st July. For ALL changes of horse and rider substitutions after the closing date there is a £5 charge please fill out the following form online at: https://www.horse-events.co.uk/rider-horse- substitutions-form/ Vaccination Policy: The following rules will apply for ALL competitors in accordance with Pony Club Rules 2021. A valid passport and vaccination record must accompany the horse / pony and must be available for inspection by the event officials to check that it complies with the below Vaccination Requirements. Primary Vaccination followed by a Secondary Vaccination given not less than 21 days and not more than 92 days after the Primary Vaccination; and if sufficient time has elapsed, a booster vaccination given not less than 150 days and not more than 215 days after the Secondary Vaccination and further booster vaccinations at intervals of not more than a year. ALL Horses and ponies must have been vaccinated within 12 months of the competition and must be 6 days clear of their last vaccination. Those that qualify for the Grassroots Regional Championships must note that the most recent booster injection must have been given within the six calendar months prior to the date of the competition. REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS QUALIFICATIONS: Team competitions are open to teams that must consist of three or four members from each Branch/Centre of The Pony Club. Grassroots Regional Championships (PC80) Top 6 teams qualify and The first 4 individuals in each section qualify. All team members qualifying for the Grassroots Regional Championships must have completed the Cross Country phase at the Area Competition. If a rider is technically
eliminated in the Dressage or Show Jumping phases, they may be allowed to complete the competition with the approval of the Official Steward. All individual qualifiers for the Grassroots Regional Championships must have achieved a Cross Country round with no jumping penalties at the Area competition. If the individual qualifiers are also part of a qualifying team the individual qualifying place shall pass down the line. Individual Competitions are open to all competitors in the Team Competitions, whose scores are automatically counted for this competition. In addition, all Branches are entitled to enter extra individual Members regardless of the number of teams they enter. RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY ANY ADDITIONAL PROTOCOLS for COVID-19 AND PROVISIONS FOR PRIZE-GIVING AND/OR COLLECTION OF PRIZES / QUALIFICATIONS will be published with Times ON WEDNESDAY 28TH JULY @ horse-events.co.uk PLEASE READ AND ABIDE BY ALL THE RULES Non-Pony Club members must have their own insurance including public liability. 1. This event is run under Pony Club Eventing Rules 2020, please read the rules before entering and abide by them at all times. The rules can be downloaded from the Pony Club website. The organisers reserve the right to modify the rules for this event where applicable. 2. Riders’ age as at 1st January 2021. 3. A pony may only be entered in one class and ridden once. All horses/ponies must be 5 years old or over. No stallions. 4. Class 1: dressage tests must be ridden from memory. Class 2: dressage tests may be commanded. 5. Riders eliminated in the show jumping phase will NOT be allowed to go cross country . If a rider is technically eliminated in the Dressage or Show Jumping phases, they should be allowed to complete the competition with the approval of the Official Steward. 6. Riders may continue on the cross country after 3 refusals at one fence or 4 refusals on the course, only with permission of the stewards. 7. There will be no penalties for going too slowly, time penalties will be applied for going too fast if competitors finish more than 15 seconds under the optimum time. Optimum times will be calculated using 435mpm and publishes at the Start and on course maps. COMPETITORS ARE NOT PERMITTED TO WEAR TIMING DEVICES OF ANY TYPE. 8. Body protectors (level 3 standard) are compulsory for cross-country and recommended for show jumping. A rider wearing an air jacket which inflates must not continue until it is removed or completely deflated. Riders wearing body cages must leave a key with the secretary when they collect their number. 9. A fastened hat must be worn at all times when mounted. All hats should conform to Pony Club standards. All competitors must have their hats tagged with a turquoise hat tag (Pony Club, British Eventing or British Riding Club). 10. All competitors are to present themselves to be tack checked 15 minutes before their dressage time. Spurs may be worn by PC members and do not require the carrying of the written permission of their DC. 11. Please refer to rule 8 in the pony club eventing rulebook on dress which has been updated substantially. This will be strictly enforced. 12. Any competitor who has a fall or sustains a serious injury anywhere at the competition site must see medical personnel on the day and be passed fit to ride before riding that horse in a further test or before riding any other horse. They must also advise the secretary for the fall to be logged in the accident log.
13. Objections may be lodged, in writing, to the secretary with a £10 deposit, within 30 minutes of an incident or 10 minutes of the publication of the results for that class. 14. IF PRIZE-GIVING IS PERMITTED All prize winners must be correctly dressed for prize giving in dressage riding clothes and hat/hairnet. Dressage sheets will be emailed if email address is left with the secretary. 15. All withdrawals must be made by the closing date. Entries will only be refunded after the close of entries on production of a medical or vets certificate. 16. If cancelled for any reason, £9.00 will be retained from the entry fee for advance costs; the balance will be refunded by Horse Events. 17. Bad language or behaviour by competitors or their supporters will not be tolerated and will result in the person being sent off site. 18. All dogs must be kept on a short lead, if they cannot be left at home. 19. No mucking out of lorries/trailers in the lorry park please and all litter to be taken home. 20. The decision of the organisers and judges is final. They reserve the right to alter, amend or cancel any part of the competition or refuse any entry without stating a reason. 21. Health, safety and welfare: the organisers of this event have taken all reasonable precautions to ensure the health and safety of everyone present at this event. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents. They must obey the instructions of the organisers and all officials and stewards. 22. Legal liability: Save for the death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, neither the organisers of this event or the Pony Club nor any agent, employee or representative of these bodies nor the landlord or his tenant, accepts any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land, cars, their contents and accessories or any other personal property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or in any other way whatsoever. Entries are only accepted on this basis.
