IONIANIntroduction IONIAN is a new submarine and terrestrial fiber optic system connecting Athens and Thessaloniki to Milan and Rome. It addresses the need for very large wholesale capacity (wavelength, spectrum, dark fiber) between Western Europe and Greece through a new system on a completely diverse route IONIAN is neutral: we sell fiber infrastructure and transmission capacity wholesale. We do not address the retail market and we do not compete with our customers IONIAN is independent: it belongs to IslaLink, a reputed Spanish Submarine Operator with strong expertise in developing, building and operating submarine cables In operation since 2001, IslaLink has deployed submarine systems connecting the Balearic Islands, the Canary Islands, Morocco and Algeria
IONIAN is promoted by ISLALINK. Since 2001, ISLALINK has developed systems connecting the Balearics, the Canaries, Morocco and Algeria Deployed and operated by IslaLink Marseilles OranLink 2011 Deployed by IslaLink Consortium Project Developed by IslaLink BalaLink 2001 Valencia Mallorca Ibiza 2021 ORVAL 2019 Sevilla Annaba 2011 CanaLink Oran Loukkos 2012 Asilah La Palma Gran Canaria Tenerife
