International Amateur Championship of Germany - German Boys and Girls Open 4th - 6th June 2020 at Golf Club St. Leon-Rot e. V. (Course St. Leon and Course Rot) Announcement 1| Eligibility Amateurs (girls and boys) born in 2002 or after, who are members of a German golf club associated with the DGV or a foreign golf club associated with its respective national golf union/federation/association. 2| Limit of exact handicap / Maximum of entries / Waiting list / Withdrawals Limit of exact handicap: Girls · 85 Girls: HCP -3.9 · 15 Girls: Leading WAGR list among the Top 1250 and HCP -3.9 (Date of WAGR list: 30th April 2020) If the starting field is incomplete, remaining entries allowed by handicap index. Boys · 85 Boys: HCP -1.9 · 15 Boys: Leading WAGR list among the Top 1500 and HCP -1.9 (Date of WAGR list: 30th April 2020) Exemption clause: Amateurs (girls and boys) who were selected to play the last European-Team-Championship (Ladies, Men, Girls/ Boys u-18) for the german nation (incl. alternate players) If the starting field is incomplete, remaining entries allowed by handicap index. Waiting list: In case of more than 100 entries for girls and 100 entries for boys, girls and boys with the highest handicap index will be excluded. They will be placed on a waiting list with the opportunity to compete in case of subsequent withdrawals. Players on the waiting list will be invited to play until May 25th 12:00 p.m.. Withdrawals: If, for any reason, a competitor is unable to participate, he has to communicate this to the German Golf Association before May 12th 2020. International Championships Modus of Play: 54 holes stroke play, played over two different courses St. Leon and Rot Boys: 1st Round (Thursday): Course St. Leon - 18 holes 2nd Round (Friday): Course Rot - 18 holes 3rd Round (Saturday): Course St. Leon - 18 holes Girls: 1st Round (Thursday): Course Rot - 18 holes 2nd Round (Friday): Course St. Leon - 18 holes 3rd Round (Saturday): Course Rot - 18 holes Ties (Regulation for equal results) In the event of a tie for first place the winner will be decided by a hole by hole play-off. If a play-off involves more than three players, those other than the winner will be deemed to have tied for second place regardless of their scores in the play-off. Otherwise, if there are only two Players in this play-off, the third place will be announced. Are there several players on the third place the remaining classification the better score for the last 36 holes counts, thereafter the last 18 holes. If there is still a tie, the score for the last 9 holes counts, then the last 6 holes, then the last 3 holes, then the final hole. If this process does not resolve the tie, classification is decided by chance (such as tossing a coin). Ties other than for first place will not be subject to play-offs. The winning girl will be honoured as “German Girls Open Champion, 2020” The winning boy will be honoured as “German Boys Open Champion, 2020” Special price for the best U16 player (girls/boys) after 36 holes. Livescoring (Rule 3.3 b (2)): A mobile scoring application will be used in addition to a paper scorecard. To help in administrative matters, players are required to enter hole scores using their own cell phones. A mobile scoring website will be provided. If there is any discrepancy, the paper scorecard will be decisive. Players can be penalized by the Committee with regard to the Code of Conduct (see Local Rule / Rule 1.2b) if they refuse to enter scores into the mobile scoring website. There can be penalties regarding future participation. Nations Cup: Separate gross competition for girls’ and boys’teams. 36 holes stroke-play team event: Thursday, 1st round 18 holes Friday, 2nd round 18 holes Teams of two or three players, who entered the competition before closing date and have been named by their national association/federation/union, either in advance to the DGV office or during the practice day until 03:00 p.m. in the golf club, are eligible to play in the Nations Cup. Each country may enter up to two boys teams and two girls teams. The two best scores of each team for the first and second round count. In the event of a tie the best team score of round two counts, thereafter the best individual score of round two, thereafter the non-considered score of player three of round two, thereafter the decision is made by chance (such as tossing a coin). 4| Tees The tees to be played will be: Girls: Blue Boys: White

Beginning with 25th of February you can register for the German Boys & Girls Open 2020 I hereby certify that the entrant’s handicap conforms with the current EGA Handicapping System or Standard Scratch Score and Handicapping Scheme of the Council of National Golf Unions or similar official handicapping system adopted in the country from which the competitor has entered and that, to the best of my knowledge, the entrant is an amateur golfer in accordance with the Rules of Amateur Status as approved by R&A Rules Limited. www.gb-go.de
International Championships I agree to the Championship Conditions, conform, in every respect, with the Rules of Amateur Status as ap- proved by R&A Rules Limited and I declare that the handicap specified is my exact handicap index at the date of entry. 8| Conditions of competition The championship is played in accordance with the Rules of Golf as approved by the R & A and the Local Rules for the competition. The “EGA-Vorgabensystem” (Handicap-System) and the general DGV - conditions of competition apply for the tournament. In case of doubt the German version of all conditions is decisive. The Committee reserves the right to alter the conditions. 9| Free practice round On the day before the championship. Each competitor will receive an information pack at registration. A competitor who does not register up to this date and time will be excluded from the championship. If a player is unable to register in person, a registration by another person, e-mail or telephone will be accepted. 11| Information / Tee Times / Accommodation Tee Times: Posted on the information board, located at the clubhouse office and on the scoreboard. Practice balls: “Free of charge” at check-in. Trolleys: Trolleys are available and will be handed out at the secretary’s office in the clubhouse. A trolley deposit will be required: € 20.00. Foreign players are privileged. Golfbag storage and keys for lockers: Golfbags can be stored at your own risk in the caddy house next to the clubhouse. A few lockers are available; keys will be handed out at the secretary’s office in the clubhouse. A key deposit will be required: € 20.00. Dress code: Jeans are strictly prohibited.
