1.Munster District Tournament Chair (087 263 3103)
2.The manager of the opposition by text and a phone call. This text will be acknowledged
as confirmation of walkover.
3.The host club to inform them of the walkover so that they may amend their timesheet
and catering.
Please be mindful of the expense that clubs go to for their practice rounds and give your
walkovers at least 10 days in advance unless there are exceptional circumstances.

The Tournaments Committee has the right to re-schedule the starting time of any
match which will be notified to team managers in advance. Please check the draw sheets
on the website for up to date information.

Team Exchange Sheets - Each Team Manager should download the team exchange
sheet from www.ilgu.ie/tournaments under ‘View Player Information Pack.’ to be
completed with current handicaps and confirmation that players have played three
qualifying competitions in the previous 12 months. List names in order of play which must
be in handicap order. In singles the lowest handicap player must be first on the list and in
foursomes the lowest combined handicap pair must be first. Exchange simultaneously
with the opposing team at least 30 minutes before the start of the first match. Any buggy
certificates must be produced at this time.
For quarter, semi and final Rounds of singles matches and all foursomes matches, this
exchange will take place in the presence of an the ILGU Official on duty, who will prepare
the scorecards.
For National and District finals this exchange will be done 45 minutes before the start of
the 1st match.

Team Managers - Whilst the match is in progress, the Team Manager cannot be
either a Player or a caddy. If no else is available from a club to fulfil this role, then the
team will not have a team manager for the duration of the match.
The one person who is able to give advice to the team must be easily identifiable. When
ILGU Officials on duty an identity label will be provided. Team Managers must NOT walk

players.

Pace of Play is very important. If there is no Rules Official on duty, agree with the
opposing Team Manager that if play is slow, you will both move your players on. Each
Player is responsible for playing without undue delay (R&A Rule 6-7). See Pace of Play
Policy ILGU Handbook 2018 page 41 - 42.

Note: For ILGU Girl's competitions refer to the conditions in the handbook.

Tee Times - Ensure that teams tee off promptly by asking them to be at the 1st tee box
10 minutes prior to their match time. The Team Manager should agree to start their
matches in line with the scheduled time if there is no Official on duty.
Advice for Team Managers in extreme Weather Conditions
Where the extreme weather creates a safety issue, and there is no ILGU Official on duty,
the two Team Managers may at any time agree to discontinue a match. This course of
action should only be taken as a last resort and in general a match should be finished if at
all possible.
Team Managers must be aware that the SAME TEAM MUST be fielded on the
resumption of the match. The only exception - any player who has not teed off on the 1st
hole, can be replaced on resumption of play.
When a decision is taken to discontinue a match, the two Team Managers must -
     • Ensure that the position of the balls and state of the match is clearly agreed.
   • Arrange with the host club for course time to complete the match.
   • Immediately inform Chair of Tournaments Munster.
   •
Spectators Guidelines: The ILGU welcomes spectators to all its events. To ensure that
all players feel comfortable on the course and enjoy their game the following guidelines
should be observed:
        • Walk in rough and maintain a distance of a least 25 yards from players.
       • Acknowledge good shots by all players equally.
       • Do not give advice or interact with players or caddies.
       • Do not give Rulings or call Penalties on players.
       • Do not disturb the play of others by moving or making noise.
       • Do not move a player’s bag as this may be construed as caddying.

Reporting Match Results - The manager of the winning team must text the result to
the ILGU executive named on the top right of the draw sheet as soon as the match has
ended. Please note the starting time of the first match and the finish time for
the last match. You are asked to text this information with the result. Please
remember to include your club and team category when sending text. A confirmation of
receipt will be sent.

Finally, Good Luck to all participating clubs.
