STEP Zone is an out of school service (OSS) offering such a provision to parents and carers. STEP Zone Holiday Club is operated by The STEP Academy Trust and is based at Gonville Academy. It is registered Gonville Academy, the OFSTED registration number is 136714 The aim of STEP Zone OSS is to provide parents and carers with a reliable and consistent service in a happy, secure and stimulating environment for their children. A team of qualified and experienced staff who are employed by the Trust run the service. They work together to ensure that the expectations of parents and carers are exceeded. educational and play-based activities and which are planned to stimulate and encourage development as well as to teach them to co-operate with each other at play. Holiday Club Operated throughout most of the school holidays, the club operates Monday to Friday 8am-6pm (excluding bank holidays) Fees Fees must be paid in advance. Parents can pay fees online by credit or debit card using the Parentpay website. www.parentpay.com. This is the Academy’s preferred method of receiving payment. Payments can also be made by childcare vouchers. Please assist us to keep running costs to minimum and operate as cost effective as possible by making payments on time as requested. £26.50 per child per day £110.00 per child per week *£3.80- per hour or part thereof *Please note that there may be occasions when attendance for part of the day cannot be accommodated, for example, when offsite trips have been organized. Arrangements have to be made in advance to ensure that sufficient staff are available to supervise the number of children attending the Holiday Club. For this reason all holiday places have to be booked. If your child has been allocated a confirmed space, a deposit is required for bookings of more than 2 weeks. The deposit, equivalent to 2 weeks fees, will be used to cover the cost of the last weeks your child has been allocated. However, if your child does not attend the sessions that you have booked, the 2 weeks deposit will be forfeited. All holiday places must be booked. Admission To register for a place, a registration form and booking form will need to be completed. These forms can be downloaded from the Academy’s app search for us (Gonville Academy) in your app store and download the app. The Club Manager will contact parent/carer to instruct whether they have been allocated a place. Arrival and Departure Children attending the Holiday Club must be signed in on arrival by their parent/carer. Children in attendance at the Holiday Club must be signed out. We will only release children to persons named by parents/carers on their registration form or as instructed by parent/carer in the case of an emergency or change. Checks will be made- passwords etc. Please do not take offence or be embarrassed if questions are asked and phone calls made. It is our responsibility to take all necessary precautions with regard to the protection and welfare of the children. Please note that children cannot be release to anyone under the age of 16 years. The Holiday Club ends at 6pm, and in fairness to the staff, children are expected to be collected by this time. Late collection will result in fines of £5 for the first 5 minutes and £1 for every minute thereafter. Persistent late collection will constitute a serious breach of contract and may lead to the withdrawal of the club place. Meals and Snacks STEP Zone OSS aims to provide and offer a range of foods, which meet the medical, religious and cultural dietary needs of the individual child. The children are provided with a light (breakfast) snack between 9.30am and 10am. In the afternoon around 4pm until 5pm, the children will also be given a light meal. Items served for all snacks will be detailed on a menu displayed on the notice board.The children are required to bring a packed lunch each day which they will consume around midday. The timings and menu may vary slightly depending on what activities/outing are taking place. Parent’s information for Holiday Club While children attend STEP Zone Holiday Club can you ensure that: 1. Children do not bring any toys to club 2. Children should be suitable dressed for play activities 3. If we have extreme hot/cold weather , please can you leave sunscreen/hats or extra layers for you child/ren 4. Make sure you have our mobile number (07932 569684), messages left on the landline (020 8683 0459) will be collected each morning. 5. Make sure on days that we have all day outings that you arrive on time. 6. If your child is on an excursion, please make sure that the outing permission slip has been completed. 7. On excursions I would advise that you give your child/ren extra water and their pack lunch in a carrier bag. 8. Please make sure that you notify staff if your child/ren suffers from travel sickness. 9. You may be asked to provide a change of clothing in case of accidents 10. Any inappropriate behaviour, bullying or harassment will not be tolerated. Persistent inappropriate behaviour may result in your child’s place being withdrawn.
