Welcome The following event bulletin has been created to provide accurate and up to date information regarding the 2019 Junior State Cup for Affiliate managers to assist with planning. This is the second event bulletin. This will provide further information regarding the event to help you plan. Please note it will be important to keep all the event bulletins as new information will be provided in this version. The 2019 Junior State Cup is looking to be another fantastic few days of Touch Football in Hervey Bay. Please read the information below as a number of changes have been made to the running of the event. Being aware of this information will assist your affiliate have an enjoyable time at the event. Important Date Reminder DATE ITEM POTENTIAL SANCTION/OUTCOME Wednesday 20 March 2019 -Team & match officials nominations open Wednesday 24 April 2019 -Team & match officials nominations closed Teams not nominated by this date will not be accepted -Tent request submitted (survey monkey) Friday 26 April 2019 -Individual online registrations open -Match official’s online registration open -Accredited officials’ online registration Wednesday 29 May 2019 -Match officials individual online registrations Team nominations not valid until closed required referee registrations complete. -Player transfers/ player pool Closed After this date, any team withdrawals may result in a fine. -Team withdrawals deadline Wednesday 5 June 2019 -Team information pack released -Match officials information pack released Wednesday 12 June 2019 -Player & accredited volunteers online Non-registered players cannot compete. registration closes Registrations completed after this date - Notley/ Norman award nominations due will incur a late fee of $10.00. -Draft draw released Wednesday 26 June 2019 -Late Registrations cut-off/ individual refunds Any players who withdraw after this deadline date will not receive a refund. -Referee withdrawals deadline as referee appointments to be created -Team sheets released to team managers Friday 5 July 2019 -Team numbers must be updated online through Incorrect shirt numbers on score sheets Sports TG may result in a fine. Guiding Principles for the 2019 Junior State Cup The following principles will guide the planning and delivery of the 2019 Junior State Cup. • Provide an enjoyable and safe experience for all participants including; players, coaches, referees, managers and spectators • Provide opportunities for development and the ability for all players to participate • Provide a high level of competition with a focus on athlete welfare Page 3
Tournament Schedule Key Information Event Dates: 11- 13 July Venue: Hervey Bay Sports Complex, 133-149 Tavistock St, Torquay Game Duration: 30-minute games – 14 minutes each way, 2 minutes half time and 5 minutes between games. Please note the timings below are indicative and should only be used as a guide, specific timings will be available closer to the date. Affiliate Tents The following information has been collated and organised based on the information provided through the Tent Request survey. All Affiliates who have requested a tent to be provided for them should have received confirmation of their tent size and have received an invoice. This invoice must be paid to QTF by 20 June 2019. Note the blue areas are only permitted to have tents a maximum of 3m wide. Anything wider in these areas will be removed as they will impact on emergency vehicle access routes. Page 5

Entries Individual and team information All individuals must be entered online in the SportsTG system by Wednesday 12 June 2019. It is the Affiliates responsibility to ensure all individuals are registered online. Team shirt numbers are required to be entered online through SportsTG by Friday 5 July 2019. Information regarding how this can be done will be sent out closer to the date. All team lists will be checked off and signed as correct at the Tournament Check-In. Please ensure your nominated Team Manager has a full list of their team members along with their shirt numbers to ensure the information is correct. Accredited Team Officials It is the affiliates responsibility to ensure all team managers, coaches and medical staff are registered online through the SportsTG system by Wednesday 12 June 2019. Match Officials (Referees) It is a requirement of the Junior State Cup that all teams nominate a referee to attend the event. These referees are required to complete the individual match official registration online prior to Wednesday 29 May 2019. If a team does not meet the required number of referees, their team nomination may be declined from the event. Please also note that the 2019 Junior State Cup is a Level 3 and 4 upgrade event. You should have been sent through your current list of registered match and accredited officials as well as been provided access to your teams for the event. If you have any concerns with this, please let the team know ASAP. Page 7
Team Photos At the 2019 Junior State Cup QTF is excited to welcome on board DSA Images as our Official Photographer. DSA will be providing both team and individual images throughout the event. Working with Children Check It is the responsibility for the affiliate to ensure their accredited and match officials have up to date and current blue cards and appropriate accreditation (coaching accreditation). The affiliate manager must fill in the Working with Children Check Form, which is available on the Junior State Cup webpage and send through to the QTF event manager prior to 12 June 2019. Score Protests At this year’s Junior State Cup, score protests will only be considered where the team protesting the score can provide a completed 2019 Junior State Cup Team Score Sheet as well as the protest form (available from athlete services). his must be submitted within 30 minutes after the completion of the relevant game. This score sheet will be available for download from the Junior State Cup website through this link: QTF Team Score Sheet Note: This does not replace the referees score card, this is only meant to be used as a back up for managers.
