Greetings! Get the latest news and events information here! March 29, 2021 Make plans to attend "Spring Under the Stars" performance tomorrow night! Join the Wallace State Fine and Performing Arts programs on Tuesday, March 30 for "Spring Under the Stars." The 7 p.m. concert will feature performances by the Wallace State Singers, Jazz Band, Concert Band, Concert Choir and the Allegro Dance Theatre. The concert will be held outside the Burrow Center for the Fine and Performing Arts. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. Other upcoming events by the Fine and Performing Arts programs include: Dance Showcase on Wednesday, April 7 at 6 p.m., presented by the Wallace State Dance program Big Band Dance on Friday, April 16, at 7 p.m., presented by the Wallace State Jazz Band. Fine and Performing Arts Who Inspires You? In celebration of Women's History month, we'd like to know about the women who have inspired you!
Tell us why and how the women in your life have inspired, supported or impacted your life for the better. Ceremony planned for April 8 Sigma Kappa Delta, the English Honor Society for Two-Year Colleges, will host its Academic Honor Society Induction on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 12:15 p.m. The ceremony will be held at the gazebo near the bookstore. Virtual Test Anxiety Workshops set The Wallace State Tutorial Lab will host a series of workshops aimed at easing anxiety associated with taking virtual tests. Wallace State Athletics Virtual and on-campus transfer visits offered for transfer students Virtual and on-campus visits are scheduled for Wallace State students to learn more about transferring to four-year universities. Schedule events to date include: University of North Alabama, Wednesday, April 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Student Center University of Alabama at Birmingham, Thursday April 8, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., virtual visit, register at calendly.com/uabemily/wallacesta te. Virtual Transfer Summit Culinary Arts Wednesday Lunch The Wallace State Culinary Arts' weekly Wednesday lunch service continues this week. Meals will be takeout only and served from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. from the Culinary Arts building. All meals are $5 each, including a choice of tea or water. Bottled drinks are $1. Tax is included.
