IMMERSION IN AMERICA’S CITY OF INNOVATION: SAN FRANCISCO The INSEEC San Francisco “Startup Factory” program has been specially designed to make the most of San Francisco and the Bay Area – renowned for its booming tech economy, its creativity, and its unparalleled startup ecosystem. • San Francisco, a bustling tech hub The San Francisco Bay Area Silicon Valley is the world’s hotbed of innovation where giant tech companies, startups and investors coexist. Its tech community embraces entrepreneurs and their innovative ideas make it one of the top tech hubs in the world. • San Francisco, a unique startup ecosystem San Francisco Bay Area has become the world’s leading startup ecosystem, fostering and attracting countless startups, many of which have become giant multinational corporations. At its heart is a dynamic and supportive community of entrepreneurs with a culture of sharing and mentorship. SF is also home to some of the most forward-thinking incubators, accelerators and workspaces, which aid the entrepreneurial spirit and help startups to succeed. • San Francisco, International and student friendly INSEEC SF campus is ideally located in downtown San Francisco, in the Financial District, and in close proximity to public transportation. In terms of housing, a number of all-inclusive packages are available to the students, such as student residences and international hostels near the campus in iconic neighborhoods of SF. Besides its notable landmarks, San Francisco offers a number of cultural activities, sports, outdoors in the Bay, and networking events open to the international student community.
PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS • Two months of immersive, experiential learning in the global epicenter of innovation and startups to inspire and accelerate INSEEC U.’s most promising entrepreneurs and innovators. INSEEC San Francisco Startup Factory Program is designed to equip its most promising entrepreneurs with the most effective skills and valuable knowledge to develop their own startup project and maximize its chances for success. • The student will benefit from a combination of cutting-edge courses, top- notch guest lectures, valuable hands-on projects, and inspiring tours and visits in one of the world’s most innovative cities. • This program will be delivered by San Francisco Bay Area thought leaders, entrepreneurs, and investors so that students can engage with those who have the insight and experience to help guide them through three crucial stages in the startup venture: focus, create, and sell. The program will ensure that the student gains a deeper understanding of the business and focuses on an effective strategy for building it. The program will also help the student see how to create a valuable product through demos and prototypes. And lastly, the program will conclude with pitching exercises before a panel of local entrepreneurs and investors.

San Francisco « Le programme Start-up Factory fut une expérience extrêmement enrichissante tant sur le point de vue professionnel qu’humain. Nous avons, au cours de ces deux mois et demi, pu découvrir des lieux d’innovation époustouflants, des passionnés et experts de tous bords d’un niveau extrêmement élevé. Je pense que s’imprégner de l’esprit entrepreneurial de la Sillicon Valley est indispensable pour devenir entrepreneur un jour, et ceci, quel que soit le secteur, car la technologie va submerger tous les secteurs de production actuels. Pour ceux qui rêvent de créer leurs start-up tech, c’est encore mieux ! Le fait de travailler en petits groupes sur un projet et de se servir des cours à l’école pour le faire mûrir a tout de suite donné de la profondeur à l’exercice : démarrer sa start-up en fin de programme ou tout du moins la rendre « lançable » sur le marché. Une leçon que j’ai apprise là-bas: “Go out of the building and meet some people!” Une dernière pour ceux qui hésitent: vous n’apprendrez jamais l’innovation par la théorie, vous l’apprendrez en la pratiquant. Ce programme vous sensibilise aux domaines indispensables de demain tant par les cours que par les rencontres : Lean Start-up, Coding, Design Thinking, Pitching etc. Petit conseil pour ceux qui veulent participer : trouvez impérativement un problème (et pas une idée !) et éventuellement une équipe avant de débuter le programme. En conclusion, lancez-vous! Start-up Factory, ça vaut le coup ! »
