EUROTIER GOES SOUTH AMERICA
EuroTier – the world’s
leading trade fair for animal
production – is coming to
South America, bringing this global platform to one
of the most prominent animal production hubs on the
planet. It takes place together with AveSui, a major
trade fair and the meeting point for the poultry and
swine industry in South America. This high profile
partnership leads to the creation of one of the most
influential exhibitions on animal production in the
region: AveSui EuroTier South America.
The new trade fair offers the entire range of products
and services for animal husbandry professionals –
from technology, services and genetics to farm inputs
and other upstream and downstream areas.
It gives access to advanced technological know-how,
developments on international agricultural markets,
and provides efficient structures for networking
with international experts and transfering important
knowledge. The program and information is tailored
to the specific challenges of the farming world in the
region.
AveSui EuroTier South America will be held in
Medianeira, Paraná state, Brazil. Paraná has the
largest number of livestock producers in Latin America
and it is one of the leading meat production regions on
the continent.
THE LIVESTOCK SECTOR IN SOUTH AMERICA*
The livestock sector in South America and other Latin American countries has grown at an annual rate of
3.7% which is higher than the average global growth rate (2.1%).
Brazil is one of the main food suppliers to the world. It is the second largest poultry producer (13,050 million
tons) and the fourth largest producer of milk (35.1 billion liters per year).
About 40% of Brazilian farmers intend to invest in the expansion of their production capacities in the next
12 months.
The state of Paraná is the leading producer of poultry, producing 3.9 million tons per year.
New technologies and solutions are sought to deal with the increasing costs for feeding, hygiene, genetics
improvement, productivity and animal welfare.
