REGISTRATION GUIDELINES Registration Guidelines 1. The registration portal for all the events is provided on the INNOVIZ-2019 website: www.niecdelhi.com . The participants must register online for the category they wish to participate. 2. The interested Colleges or Institutions are requested to confirm their participation team list through email, latest by March XXth, 2019. 3. Outstation Colleges or Institutions must confirm their participation team through mail by March XXth, 2019. 4. The participating teams must report at ADGITM campus, New Delhi for in- person Registration on March XXth, 2019 from XX:XX pm to XX:XX pm at the Registration Help Desks put up in the campus. 5. The remaining instructions will be given to the participants at the Registration Help Desk. 6. All teams are mandatorily required to carry the following documents along with, failing which the teams may not be allowed to register: a) Authority Letter issued by the Director/Principal/Dean of the respective Institute/College/faculty with the name of all participants. b) Institute/College Identity Cards and Two passport size recent colored photographs. The registration fee is Rs XXX for external students. c) Fooding & lodging charges (if opted for): Rs XXX per participant for external students. {Kindly edit the Xs with the suitable details}
1. FOLK SHOW DOWN (GROUP FOLK DANCE COMPETITION) DATE: 30th March’ 2019 TIME: 11:30 A.M. VENUE: Main Stage REPORTING TIME: 9:00 a.m. Participants are requested to attach a preliminary video in the space provided. RULES FOR THE EVENT: 1. The number of team members should be 6-14 plus 2 accompany. 2. Time limit for the performance; for track: 6-8 minutes; for live performance: 10-12 minutes. 3. Flames, fluid, powder props are not allowed. 4. Every participant should have their college ID. 5. Songs selection should be pure folk (No commercial songs) 6. Judging criteria (costume, expression, formation, choreography, coordination, creativity, etc.) 7. Decision of judges would be final. 8. Slot picking is done by chit system. 9. 2. FUNKZILLA (The Street Dance Battle) There are 2 categories event: 1. crew on crew Crew on crew event consists of two rounds 1st round is of crew showcase where crews have to show their street style routines (only street dance forms are allowed) 2nd round will be of open freestyle battle (random music will be played) 2. 1-on-1 rep your style. There will be a preselection where all the solo participants have to show their freestyle skills. On the basis of their freestyle throwdown, 16 dancers will be selected who will battle against each other in upcoming rounds! The event will be judged by Rahul invoker!
3. Time limit 8 to 10 minutes (including stage setup) 2. Exceeding time limit will lead to negative marking. 3. Minimum 5 and maximum 15 members on stage. 4. Total members for team should not exceed 25 including backstage members. 5. Fire acts, usage of glass props and colours are not allowed. 6. Teams have to mail their tracks at niecdazzlers@gmail.com and bring the same in pen drives. 7. Judge's decision will be final and binding. 4. FASHIONISTA 2K19 ★ Participating teams should carry their music on a pen drive in mp3 format and it should be handed over to the organizers 2 hours before the event. It is advisable to carry a backup in case of emergency. ★ No sort of props or supporting material will be provided by the organizers. The participating team is solely responsible for arrangement, security and maintenance of their props and costumes. ★ Any special requirements should be discussed with the organizers prior to the festival. ★ Teams should report at the venue at least 2 hours before the event. ★ The judges' decision in relation to any aspect of the competition is final and binding. ★ Participants are expected to check their email IDs to stay updated. ★ Please ensure that any previous shows, of which links are submitted for screening, should have majority of your tentative participants. ★ Obscenity, harassing, bullying, nudity and vulgarity of any kind is strictly not allowed on and off stage in college campus. ★ Use of fire, candles, alcohol, cigarettes or any other hazardous material is strictly prohibited in college premises. ★ All team members must carry a valid college ID card which must be presented at the time of registration. ★ Theme write up to be submitted at the time of registration. ★ Google form to be filled up with correct contact details for registration at the link above. ★ Registration desk will close 1 hour before the show starts. If team fails to reach on allotted slot or time, it shall be disqualified. ★ Participants are requested to co-operate with the organizers.
5. Mr & Ms INNOVIZ 1. “Mr. & Ms. Innoviz” is one of the most prestigious events of the Annual Fest of the ADGITM. 2. It is a Personality Pageant that judges the contestants on the basis of their confidence, attitude, presentation and spontaneity and the way one portrays his/her personality. 3. It comprises of three Rounds which scrutinize the overall personality of the participant. 4. The rounds are as follows: a. Introductory Ramp Walk: The introductory ramp walk includes a ramp walk and formal introduction of the participant b. The Talent Round: The participants are required to showcase a talent of participant their own choice within the allotted time(max 3 min) c. The Question & Answer Round: In this round the participants are asked questions by the Judges on the stage and the participants are required answer with proper justification. 5. After each round there would be an elimination. 6. The participants should adhere to the codes of decency and body language no vulgarity and obscenity will be entertained. 7. 6. OpenMic (by YourQuote) 1. The participants can perform only self-written poems, short stories or self composed songs. 2. The act can be in English, Hindi or Urdu. 3. Limit the act to a maximum of 5 mins. 4. Any plagiarization will lead to immediate disqualification. 5. Having original college ID card is compulsory. 6. Only 5 registrations are allowed on the spot, and the selection will be done on first come first serve basis. 7. Only the content submitted can be performed, no on the spot changes are accepted and may lead to disqualification. 8. This is a non competitive event and participation certificates will be provided to all the participants by YourQuote.
7. Nach Baliye • Exact 2 members have to be there in a team. • Maximum time limit is 2.5-4 mins. • Props can be used. • Firecracker props are not allowed. • Registration will not be done after 1hr prior to event start time. • Participating team has to report along with their ID cards. • Team has to bring their own music in Pendrive. • The decision of the judges will be final.
8. SOLO DANCE • Time limit is 1.5-2 mins. • Props can be used. • Firecracker props are not allowed. • Participants have to report along with their ID cards. • Participants have to bring their own song in pen-drive. • The decision of the judges will be final.
9. Maestoso - The A Capella event! (Doरे Miपा'19) Rules for the event: 1. All participants must carry their ID cards on the day of the event. 2. Only one entry will accepted from each college. 3. A minimum of 5 and a maximum of 25 members will be allowed from each college, including the conductor. 4. Cross-college teams are not allowed. 5. Instruments and backing tracks are not allowed. 6. Each team will be given 8+2 minutes on stage. 7. Decisions of the judge are final and binding. Preliminary entries in the form of a video link attached in the form will be accepted. Last date to register: 19.03.19
10. Alankaar - The Indian Classical Choir Event 1. All participants must carry their ID cards on the day of the event. 2. Each team will be given 8+2 minutes on stage. 3. Marks will be deducted, if the team exceeds the time limit. 4. A minimum of 6 and a maximum of 18 members will be allowed from each college, including the accompanists. 5. The team is required to bring their own instruments however, not more than 3 instrumentalists are allowed. 6. Decisions of the judge are final and binding. 7. Only 1 entry per college is allowed. Preliminary entries in the form of a video link attached in the form will be accepted. Last date to register: 19.03.19
11. Alaap: Light Indian Solo event 1. Only 2 entries per college are allowed. 2. Time limit: 4+2 minutes. 3. Exceeding the time limit will cause you deduction in the marks. 4. The final decision is solely dependent upon the judges. 5. Indian classical compostions and western songs are not allowed. Preliminary entries in the form of a video link attached in the form will be accepted. Last date to register: 19.03.19
12. INNOVIZ IDOL 1. Each participant will be given 5 minutes on stage including the setup and Marks will be deducted for exceeding the time limit. 2. Only 1 accompanist is allowed, excluding the tanpura, No instrument or accompanist will be provided by Swaranjali. 3. Any participant singing and playing at the same time would be counted both as a singing member and accompanist. 4. No restrictions on the genre of the song. 5. Judges decision will be final and binding. 6. Rs.50 per entry will be charged as registration fee. ONSPOT Registrations ALSO AVAILABLE
13. LIVE STAND UP 1.0 (An Open Mic) Rules for the event: 1. All participants must carry their ID cards on the day of the event. 2. No vulgar or abusive language should be used.. 3. Don't target any particular race, caste or sexuality 4. Maximum time allotted is 5 mins 5. Decisions of the judge are final and binding.
14. Brigade On Board - A Rapid Chess Tournament Rules for the tournament: 1. Type: Rapid - Unrated 2. Time Control: 15 minutes + 10 seconds increment from move 1 3. Total Rounds: 5 + Tie Breaks 4. Day 1: 2 Rounds Rnd1: 11am Rnd2: 12:30pm On 28th Mar, 2019 5. Day 2: 2 Rounds Rnd3: 11am Rnd4: 12:30pm On 29th Mar, 2019 6. Day 3: 1 Round + Tie Breaks Rnd5: 11am TB: 12:00pm On 30th Mar, 2019 7. 15. HUNT MANIA - A Traditional Treasure Hunt Competition Date: 29th march 2019 What is it about? ♂ An adventures clue solving race between teams where one clue will lead to next and eventually to the final treasure . What's the treasure? A decent cash prize with cool armado watches together worth INR 4,000. How will it take place? 1. The event will be comprised of 3 rounds, Round 1- a pen-paper quiz where best of 20 teams will be selected. Round 2- a mini hunt to see if you're fit enough to find the treasure. Here you have to solve some clues to earn the ticket for final round. Round 3 The hunt! Final 7 teams will play this round. Solve a series of seven clues where one leads to another and get the treasure in your pockets! 16. PUBG TOURNAMENT 1 Emulators are not allowed. ipad/tablets are allowed. 2 Any kind of hacking or game tampering will lead to disqualification. 3 In case of unavailability of players, less than 4 squad members are allowed. 4 Tournament will contain qualification round. Two matches will be played in this round. The points table will be of official pubg mobile tournament and best of 20 squads will be selected. 5 Final will be of three rounds with same official points table and the map and game mode will be told at the spot. 6 In case of less than 25 squad registration, direct finals will take place. 7 Wi-Fi will be provided. In case of technical problems, play on your own mobile data. 8 Prize will be based on number of Registrations 9. Outside College Members are allowed
17. ANTI TOBACCO Not only the humans but all beings of this planet are facing adverse effect of tobacco. Although there are many influential and powerful organisation but our tiny effort may solve this issue, so be a part of this campaign with full enthusiasm. Campaign 1: Poster making March 29, 2019 Drawing sheet will be provided. You are supposed to bring remaining material. Campaign 2 : Ad-Mad March 30, 2019 A play against tobacco. Play length-3 to 5 mins 5 to 6 members per squad. Campaign 3 : Awareness Drive March 31, 2019 Make a video to aware peoples about tobacco. Video length- 4 to 5 mins in min 480p. Max 4 member per squad. Goodies and certificates for 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders. Certificates for all Participants. 18. Tower Tumbler (“Jenga” event) ✓ The game has to be completed within 15 minutes. ✓ You are required to be present in groups of two. ✓ One person would roll the dies while the other would pull out the blocks. Interchanging between partners i.e. the one rolling the die and pulling the blocks is allowed. ✓ To win the game you need to correctly pull out blocks 10 times while ensuring that the tower isn't collapsing. ✓ You can only pull off the block of the same number as the sum of dies rolled up by your partner. No change is allowed in that number.
19. Lyrics Game (“Karaoke” event) ✓ Only one person can sing at a time. ✓ Each person is allowed to sing only a single song. ✓ Misbehaving won't be tolerated. ✓ No abusive songs.
20. Dumb Charades ✓ 3 or more teams are required with 2 players each. ✓ The challenge has to be completed within 1 min 30 secs. ✓ Entry fee is Rs.50 per team ✓ All the Dumb Charades rules are to be followed ✓ Winner gets double the entry fee as prize.
21. Treasure Hunt ✓ There should be a maximum of members and minimum of 2 members in a team. ✓ Team leader have to show the confirmation email at event desk.
22. What’s the point?! (Dart game) It is basically a dart game that can either be played by doubles (2 players or 2 groups containing equal members) or by singles (1 player). In the game the player has to hit close to the bull’s eye on the dart. They have to perform the task on the number they hit on. For doubles or groups whosoever performs the best, wins. But for singles they have to perform at least 2 tasks to win prizes. RULES FOR SINGLES: - ✓ If 2 darts land on the centre, no tasks are to be performed. Automatic win for the player. ✓ If the dart lands on a certain number, the task associated with the number has to be performed. ✓ If 2 tasks out of 3 are performed properly and completed, the player wins. ✓ Tasks will be changed after 5 players have played or so. RULES FOR DOUBLES AND GROUP: - ✓ If any player of the doubles or group hits the target twice out of 3 times, he/she automatically wins. ✓ If the dart lands on any number the associated task has to be performed. ✓ If 2 out of 3 tasks are completed and performed properly, the player/group wins. ✓ Tasks will be changed after few mins or so.
23. Bollywood Quiz ❖ There can either be a single participant or a team with 4 participants at max. ❖ Before the starting of the event, team leader of each team has to show the confirmation mail that was sent during registration. TYPE 1: - (Rules for Personality Identification Round) ✓ Every team will be asked to identify a personality. ✓ Two hints will be provided for every question. ✓ 20 marks will be awarded for the correct answer after 1st. ✓ 10 marks will be awarded for the correct answer after 2nd. ✓ 60 seconds will be given for each question. TYPE 2: - (Rapid fire round) ✓ Each team will be asked to nominate a member from their team. ✓ Nominated member will be given 60 seconds to answer 5 questions in this round. ✓ 5 marks will be awarded for each correct answer. TYPE 3: - (Audio round) ✓ Teams will made to hear an audio clip, and they have to answer based on that. ✓ 10 marks for the correct answer and negative 5 marks for the wrong answer. ✓ Answering time is only 15 seconds. ✓ Audience can answer if both the teams are unable to answer.
24. “Bond Test” ROUND 1: - “NEVER HAVE I EVER” ✓ Certain questions will be put forward to the pairs to check their similarity or parallelism. ✓ Pairs will be provided with 2 placards each. ✓ One of the placards will read “Yes, I have” while the other reads “I have never”. ✓ If both the participants (pair) respond with the same placard option, then their score will be incremented. ✓ If the pair waves opposite placards, then their score won't get incremented. ✓ Total 5 questions will be put forward by the organizers. ✓ The pair with the highest score will tread to the next /final round. ROUND 2: - “LOOSE YOUR DIMES OR SPILL YOUR CHIMES” ✓ This will be the final round and will be focused on checking the ultimate strength of the bond. ✓ One person from each pair will be made to answer certain not-so-straight questions related to him/her. ✓ These questions will check the honesty and loyalty of the pair towards each other. ✓ If the person refuses to answer the question, he/she will lose the points earned by their respective pair in the first round. ✓ At the end of 3 questions, the pair with the maximum score wins and will be declared the winner of the game.
25. Project Exhibition ✓ No rules as such, for this particular event.
26. ROBORACE Challenge: Build your own robot either wired or wireless within the specified dimensions to achieve the maximum speed to beat other robots on the given track to reach the destination in minimum time. The robot must run on the track while crossing several hurdles. The robot must start behind the starting mark. Your robot must be manually/autonomously controlled, and it should be capable of traversing over different terrain and hurdles without going outside the track. Separate points will be there for overcoming the hurdles. The bot with the maximum cumulative points will win the race. Robot: 1. The robot participating in the event can be wired/wireless, autonomous or manual. 2. Participants must arrange their own batteries. 3. The Robot must not emit smoke or fire, leak, stain or soil. 4. The Robot must be non-destructive and non-harmful to humans and the track. 5. The length of the wire (for wired bots) should be long enough (12 meters approx.) to cover the whole track and wire should remain slacked during the run across the track. 6. The electric voltage anywhere in the machine should not be more then 24V DC at any point of time. 7. Battery can be placed on the robot or can be carried in hand by the robot operator in case of wireless robot. Dimensions: The size limitations apply for each robot 20x20x15cm. Competition Scoring: 1. Negative points will be awarded for every human touch which will affect the final score of the team. 2. The run timer will start when front edge of the robot crosses the start line and stops when the front edge of the robot crosses the finish line. 3. Negative points will be awarded for each time the Robot moves out of the track. 4. Each run will start from the starting point. The operator may abort a run at any time. If an operator touches the robot during a run, the team will score negative points and shall start from the previous checkpoint. If a robot has already crossed the finish line, it may be removed at any time without affecting the runtime of that run. 5. Total points achieved for successfully overcoming the hurdles will be added to the final run time of each team in order to calculate the final score. If the team skips any hurdle, it will lose the point for the same. Rules and Regulations: 1. Minimum 2 members and maximum 4 members are allowed in each participating team. Multiple teams from same college can participate in the competition. 2. The robot should follow the robot specifications provided. Any deviation from the mentioned specifications will lead to disqualification. 3. Negative points will be awarded for each time the Robot moves out of the track. If the Robot goes out of the track for more than 3 times, it will be considered as disqualified. 4. Once the race begins, 3 hand touches are allowed more than 3 touches will lead to disqualification. Negative points will be awarded for every human touch which will affect the final score of the team.
5. No test practice will be allowed on the main track. 6. The decision of the judges will be final and binding. Argument with judges in any form will lead to the disqualification of the team right-away.
