BETTER BETTER 4 Bracknell Town Football Club has been producing professional 5 soccer players since 1896. The International Academy is a full-time education and soccer program for male and female international student-athletes aged 17 years and over that wish to combine their studies with a full-time professional soccer environment and become the pinnacle of the already established BTFC youth ATHLETES teams, creating a true player development model. 10 Fitness centre 11 INSIDE THE The academy at BTFC houses a soccer-specific gym facility where players can work individually or in small ACADEMY groups. Academy players also have full access to the prestigious David Lloyd gym which comprises of a range of cardio, resistance weight machines, and free weights to ensure that the players are developing their physical attributes throughout the program. The academy players will spend three sessions a week there improving their conditioning with a soccer-specific program. The centre will also be used for recovery sessions when the players have had a game the day before. Professional experience We pay attention to every detail. Everything within the four main pillars of the game (technical, tactical, physical and psychological) will be scrutinised to ensure this is the most rewarding professional experience for the student-athletes. BTFC’s existing ‘4G’ turf training pitch next to the stadium which will be used for training purposes. These pitches ensure our students have the best opportunity to train, play and reach their true potential on world-class surfaces. Academy players will play home games and hold training sessions on BTFC’s state-of-the-art 4G turf with a ground capacity of 2,500 spectators. In addition, we also have a state-of-the-art media centre used for video analysis and media training. Our brand new training ground boasts 2 full sized pitches as well as a training pitch.
