Team One have been on duty at school this week. They have also been working on the deep cleaning of our school following the latest guidance from the DfE on Covid19 (Infection Control in non-healthcare Settings). So we know our school is as safe as it can be for any one who is coming in. Team One also had lots of fun looking after keyworker children this week: it involved being outside in the sunshine, and having pizza and icecream - thanks to Mrs Portman! Team Two are back on duty next week and looking forward to providing keyworker childcare for mums and dads who are working in critical jobs. Thank you Ollie Doyle for cutting the grass!
Freya and Jos have chalked their hair like rainbows to celebrate all of the amazing keyworkers! Obie says hello! He misses the strokes he usually gets from Isabel, Lillia and Sofia. Hi everyone! Hope you're all enjoying the Easter holidays. I am missing you all. I have been doing Joe Wickes every single morning! Last Friday was fancy dress. I can still fit into my Captain America outfit! I have been busy doing school work but now it's the holidays I have been spending most of my time out- side. I have made potions with out of date food and also science experi- ments. Mrs Griffiths’ children made a car wash in the garden. (Cont’d) I made a volcano out of clay and painted it then mixed the following ingredients to create a reaction: juice of a lemon, drops of red food colouring, spoon of flour and half of the same spoon of baking soda. I firstly mixed the ingredients in the volcano then final- ly added the bicarbonate of soda (baking soda) and observed what happened! I plan to do more volcano experiments over the holidays with different ingredients. Take care everyone. Stay safe! Luke xx

The BBC are doing daily lessons on a new TV channel beginning on the 20th April (which is the start of the Summer Term). We will be tuning in to see what it’s like and to see how we can use it in to our workpacks.

Hello, I hope you are all well and enjoy- ing the sunshine. I wanted to send in some pictures of Gil and Hebe from the weekend. They were feeling disappointed that the school isn’t able to hold an Easter Fair this year so decided to organise their own. They planted some beautiful spring flow- ers to decorate our garden, made an Easter banner, organised games includ- ing Easter bowling, Guess Bunny’s Name, crafts, face painting and sold snacks…. Although attendance was limited to five, Gil and Hebe used the House Party app to contact their grandparents and other family members and involve them in the games and they paid for snacks and face painting with their pocket money. They raised a grand total of £15.60 on behalf of Hollycombe School. We are enjoying reading about what the other Hollycombe kids are doing and really hope to see you all soon. Love from, Gil, Hebe & the Hunter family xx Amazing work Hebe and Gillon! Well done!
