Games, partner work, and general fitness activities will also be incorporated to keep the experience light-hearted while encouraging the spirit of training and the essence of discipline. ABRA FALL PROGRAMS & EVENTS | 18 Youth Programs - Arts Twinkle Toes (Ages 3-4, 5-6) Instructor: Unleashed Dance Company Twinkle Toes is a gender-neutral, pre-ballet class that will introduce ballet basics and build physical literacy through ballet-inspired moves. This class will allow space for self-expression, improvisation, and play. Each class will end with an age-appropriate mindfulness exercise to support self-calming and building confidence. Dancers are encouraged to wear comfortable athletic wear. Ballet or jazz shoes are recommended, but not required. Wiggly Worms (Ages 3-4, 5-6) Instructor: Unleashed Dance Company Have fun while exploring movement to music. This class is designed to allow for exploration, self-expression, improvisation, and play while learning rhythm through movement. Each class will end with an age-appropriate mindfulness exercise to learn self-calming techniques and build confidence. DIY Grave Goods Chinaware (with Wine) (Ages 18+) Instructor: Grave Goods Canada (Jamie Gray) Grave Goods is not your grandmother's china! At first glance, you may see blowsy-rosy chinaware, but a closer look reveals the highest levels of sauciness. Bring your friends out, have a tarted-up teacup of wine (yours to keep!), and create some sassy chinaware suitable for table or wall. All fuse-able decals are food- and dishwasher-safe. All materials supplied. Chinaware will be kiln-fired off-site and returned to the ABRA for pick-up the next week. Glass Monster Magnets Workshop (Ages 4-12)* Instructor: Grave Goods Canada (Jamie Gray) *Ages 4-7 must be accompanied by an adult. Have you ever needed a monster to protect the goodies in your fridge? You can make one as ferocious or as fun as you'd like! Using cut and fire-polished, brightly coloured stained glass, construct a fun monster magnet. Each piece will be constructed at Auburn House, taken away to be fired in a kiln, and returned within two days.
