Page 3 Program Cancellation The Tuscany Residents Association (TRA) greatly values your business! For this reason, we have designed our cancellation policy to better suit the needs of our valued customers. No exceptions will be made to the policy outlined below. Please review carefully. 1. TRA CANCELLATION DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT The TRA may need to cancel programs with insufficient registration or due to instructor availability. Should this occur, participants may choose from the following options: A) Transfer to another program where space is still available. B) Receive an account credit on the household TRA account. C) Receive a cheque for the full amount of the program, which will be available for pick up within 2-4 weeks after the class cancellation. Should a class be cancelled, you will be notified by phone or email no later than two days prior to the commence- ment of the class and will be asked to select one of these three options at this time. 2. WITHDRAWAL/TRANSFER REQUESTS All program withdrawals/transfer requests must be made in writing to the Recreation Manager at recreation@tuscanyclub..ca For your convenience and flexibility, a refund will be issued should the withdrawal request be sent 14 or more days before the program start date in the form of account credit or cheque, less a $15 administration fee. • Requests to withdraw from a program less than 14 days prior to the first day of program will be charged a 25% program fee and a $15 administration fee will apply. • After two classes into the program, refunds will be issued for medical reasons only and a doctor’s note may be required. A pro-rated refund will be issued and the $15 administration fee will apply. • Refunds will not be issued to participants who are unable to attend rescheduled make-up classes for seasonal/ outdoor programs. • Failure to attend a class does not cancel the enrollment and refunds will not be issued. • Refunds of $25 or less will only be credited to the household TRA account. • NSF cheques are subject to an additional $50 fee. Coming for a visit? All residents aged 12+ must have their membership card to gain access to any of the TRA indoor or outdoor facilities or sign out gym equipment. Your membership is automatically renewed when your annual fees are paid. Don’t have a card? The Tuscany Club must see a copy of your certificate of title and ID showing proof of residency in order to receive your permanent membership cards. Want online access? Visit www.tuscany-connect.com and click on “SIGN ME UP!”. You will receive email confirmation when your account is activated. You will need your 8-digit TRA# from your card. This is a chance for our members to come check out all the great adult programs we offer. During our Sneak Peek Weeks you can drop in to any adult program free of charge. Try something new or join a friend. Do as many as you like this week. Must be a Tuscany Residents Association Member to participate. TRA Family Day Winter Party Monday, February 17th 1:00pm to 3:00pm A special winter party to celebrate Family Day weekend with skating (weather permitting), music, games, treats and more. Spring Used Toy & Clothing Sale Saturday, March 14th 9:00am to 12:00pm 30+ tables of kids toys, clothing, sports stuff and more. Admission is FREE for all Tuscany residents. Children’s Spring Spectacular Saturday, April 4th 1:00 to 3:00pm Come spend the afternoon hunting for eggs, doing crafts, and celebrating Spring. This event is FREE and open to all TRA members
Page 6 Special Events cont’d 5TH Annual TRA Art Exhibition Saturday, April 25th at 10:00am to 2:00pm Meet local resident artisans as they work in house and display their art work. This event is FREE and open to the public. Community Clean Up Day Sunday, May 10th 9:00am to 2:00pm (date to be confirmed) City of Calgary trucks will be onsite to collect large items and organic waste. At this time, we have arranged for electronics recycling, onsite paper shredding, metal recycling, carseat recycling , and refundable bottle collection (Tuscany Scouts),. We will also have a donations truck on site for all other items in good condition. Visit www.tuscany-connect.com closer to the event date for a complete listing of items we are able to accept and not accept. Please note that all services are free, except for car seat recycling. There is a $10/seat fee. The TRA is subsidizing $5/seat and the remaining $5/seat must be paid at the time of recycling (exact cash only). All seats must come stripped of all covering and straps as only the plastic portion is recyclable; the remainder is waste. Any seats that are not stripped will not be accepted. TRA Giant Garage Sale Saturday, June 6th 9:00am to 3:00pm Sign up now for this free supersized event. 150+ homes participate each year. Registration is FREE for TRA members. All members who register by Monday, June 1st will be provided with a bright yellow garage sale yard sign and also be included in the area map of sales homes. Maps will be available at the Club and online starting Wednesday, June 4th. Signs will be available for pick up starting Thursday, June 4th from 9:00am to 10:00pm daily. 6th Annual Tuscany Club 1K/5KFun Run Saturday, June 20th Save this date for this annual community event along the Twelve Mile Coulee Pathway. 5k and 1k options. All 5k participants will receive a swag bag and 1k participants a finisher’s medal. Family BBQ to follow. Register online.
