OPENING CCD SCHEDULE Tuesday, September 7th Session 1 - Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 Tuesday, September 7th Session 2 – Grades 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 7, Learning support Wednesday, September 8th Grades 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, Non-traditional On the first night of CCD as listed above, parents will meet in the gym while students will go directly to their classrooms. Please follow the schedule below for the normal start time of class you have registered for. Tuesday Session 1 Class: Meeting begins at 4:30 PM. Tuesday Session 2 Class: Meeting begins at 6:30 PM. Wednesday Class: Meeting begins at 6:15 PM. Students will go to their classrooms to meet their teacher and receive their books and materials. Room assignments will be posted in the main hallways. Parents will go to the gym for a meeting with Mrs. Reed. She will give necessary information concerning the procedures and events pertaining to our CCD year. Parents will be sent to the classrooms after the meeting to greet the teachers and receive any information regarding their student’s class. Dismissal will be from the classrooms as the teachers have finished – most likely sooner than normal class ending time. There will be a meeting for parents who have signed up for homeschooling this year on Thursday, September 9th at 6:30 PM in the school building. Mrs. Reed will discuss the homeschool directives and requirements and parents will be able to pick up their student’s materials at that time. The first full week of classes begins Tuesday, September 14th and Wednesday, September 15th. Please walk your student into the building this first night. The drop off system for students will begin the third week of CCD on September 21st and 22nd. Directives explaining the drop off system will be explained at the Meet & Greet and will also be in the handbook that will be sent home with the youngest child in each family. CCD registrations will be taken, but not processed from September 6th to September 13th in order to compile and finalize class lists. Youth Group September News Sunday, September 12th – We will meet in the cafeteria from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. We will pray, watch a video about our faith and play games. Saturday, September 18th – We will help serve the spaghetti dinner for our Parish 5:15 p.m. – 7:15 p.m. in the cafeteria. Christmas Bazaar and Craft Show News! Santa’s Attic will be open September 11th and 12th! We welcome your new or gently used games, puzzles, toys, craft items for children and holiday décor. Please NO VHS tapes and NO household/kitchen items. Our drop-off times (behind the Chapel) on the 11th and 12th, will be before and after all Masses including 4:00 p.m. Saturday, 8:00, 9:30 and 11:00 a.m. Masses on Sunday. OLSH Parish Raffle: Stamp Donation Request Every year as part of the Christmas Bazaar, we hold the ANNUAL PARISH RAFFLE. All parish families receive two books of raffle tickets to purchase or sell. Prizes for the raffle include different amounts of cash. To help defray the costs, we are asking for donations of stamps. Stamps may be put into the weekend collection basket, the bazaar box in the Narthex, or dropped off at the rectory. Thank you!
