Dragon Master Foundation is a 6 year old pediatric brain cancer 501c charity based in
Wichita Kansas. DMF’s mission is to find and accelerate cures for cancers and other diseases
by fostering and rewarding a community of collaboration and innovation. We seek to spread
awareness, expedite research and kinder treatments, and improve the quality of life for
patients and their families.

Digital. His subject matter encompasses many fantasy creatures, but especially dragons.
He started exhibiting his own work at conventions in 1993. He has since received many awards for his work at

Selections and Awards Jurors (cont):

                                             Bob Ale-Ebrahim
Born and raised in Wichita, Kansas, Bob Ale-Ebrahim has been building brands locally, nationally and
internationally for over two decades. Bob owns his own freelance design studio, Creative Fuel, which is
located in the Kansas City area. Bob taught at the Wichita Area Technical College, served as president of the
Wichita Chapter of AIGA and is a graduate of the Wichita State University.
He’s won a National Silver Telly, been featured in Step by Step magazine, Color Harmony: Logos by Rockport,
and the Logo Lounge books & website. A font he designed was used as the logo for the FOX TV show “The
Following”, starring Kevin Bacon.
Bob served as an early Board Member at Dragon Master Foundation, and is the designer of the logo that we
use to this day. He utilized Dan Reeder’s The Simple Screamer: A Guide to the Art of Papier and Cloth Mache
during his stint as art director for KSAS-FOX 24, creating “screamers” for a Night of the Living Zoo fundraiser.

                                                Dan Reeder
Dan Reeder is a papier mache’ artist living in Seattle, Washington. A former school teacher, he’s been working
with papier mache’ since 1972 when he first started making monsters with his fifth grade students. An art
lesson for kids turned into an obsession for Dan. He spent the next four decades sharing his work and his
techniques. As well as displaying his sculptures in fairs, galleries, and art museums, Dan published three books
which, collectively, have been in print for almost thirty years and have sold around the world. Dan’s majestic
dragons and other fanciful creatures lend credence to the unlimited potential of this art medium.

Dan came to the attention of Dragon Master Foundation in 2015. DMF asked him to make a dragon to be
raffled for the cause. What he delivered was a three dimensional representation of Judge Bob Ale-Ebrahim’s
DMF logo. He also donated a red dragon trophy, the subject of a video of Dan’s that had gone viral. The DMF
logo-inspired dragon was donated back to the Foundation, in whose possession it will now forever
remain. However, if you come to City Arts during the Guarded Treasures run, you will see it on public display,
for the first time ever. Currently DMF is conducting a raffle of another of Dan’s pieces, a Game of Thrones Ice
Dragon. Go to www.dragonmasterfoundation.org to see all 3 dragon’s creation videos, and to enter to win
the Ice Dragon.
