Ascent Restaurant Barcelona Mediterranean Cuisine with French Influence On the first floor of Hotel Catalonia Catedral you can find a tranquil spot with a view of old town Barcelona in which to enjoy first rate cuisine. The location could not be more convenient for a tourist in Barcelona since Ascent is located in the busy commercial heart of the Gothic Quarter, a stone’s throw away from both the Cathedral and Plaça de Catalunya. ASCENT Restaurant is part of the EBOCA Restaurants of Catalonia Hotels group. It has a capacity for 100 guests and we organize any type of event. In our restaurant we have a cocktail bar and a cozy outdoor space, the Japanese garden. We put at your disposal a private room with natural light and views of Portal del Angel (capacity max. 17 guests) The ASCENT Restaurant proposal is a traditional barbecue and Mediterranean cuisine based in the high quality seasonal produce. RESTAURANT MENU TAPAS AND RICE MENU If you want to truly eat like a Spaniard, you can choose from the tapas menu with various paellas, All the Iberian favourites are available in sharing portions such as mushroom croquettes, jamón ibérico and of course, seafood paella. WEEKLY MIDDAY MENU From Monday to Sunday midday, we have a menu prepared with seasonal products, to choose among 5 starters, 5 main course and 5 desserts. Specialties such as the Monterosa tomato, grilled veal entrecote and fruit salad are present every week. We offer our midday menu for groups giving the possibility of enjoining it in dinner service. The price of the menu is €20 during the week (Monday-Friday) and €23 on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and bank holidays. If you wish to include our drink pack for €6 more, we include mineral waters, wines from Catalonia (white Xarel.lo and red Garnacha) and coffees.
