CAMPUS HAPPENINGS A 2020 CHICKEN BBQ The annual Chicken BBQ could not take place at Souderton Mennonite Homes as it in years past, but that did not stop us from keeping some traditions alive. Like many other events in 2020, that meant going virtual! The gospel music fest was a prerecorded concert from Gold City Quartet that aired on in-house cable, the silent auction became an online auction and ran for two weeks in early August, and the hymn sing aired on YouTube on Sunday night with some song-leading help from local congregations. Life enrichment staff planned special events like outdoor entertainment and ice cream treats during the week and we were happy to provide a complimentary chicken BBQ dinner for all residents on Saturday. We look forward to a fun-filled day at Souderton Mennonite Homes with the wider community again in the future.
