Whether to finance your studies, a holiday or a project, getting a job will bring real added value to your education and future career. Through practical advice and tips, find out how to get a job in France or abroad, for a season, a holiday or throughout the year! This guide will help you organise your search. THE EMPLOYMENT CONTRACT A written employment contract - full or part-time - must be given to you within 48 hours of being hired. You must sign it. The term “part-time” means working fewer than 35 hours a week. Consequences if you are not declared: ✖ In the event of a work-related injury, you will not be insured. ✖ You will not be entitled to unemployment benefits. ✖ Your hours worked will not count toward your retirement. ✖ If the employer does not pay you, legal action will be extremely difficult. ✖ It is difficult to obtain housing if you cannot provide proof of income.
