THIS DOCUMENT SHALL BE READ CAREFULLY:
ANY REGISTRATION OR RE-REGISTRATION OF A STUDENT AT THE FRENCH
INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL OF YANGON, JOSEPH KESSEL, IMPLIES THE UNCONDITIONAL
ACCEPTANCE OF THE FINANCIAL CONDITIONS AND THE RESPECT OF THE PRESENT
                           FINANCIAL REGULATIONS.
IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PARENTS TO READ THIS DOCUMENT.

                                                                           1
I- PREAMBLE:

The French International School of Yangon (LFIR) is a French institution of excellence and has
been a member of the AEFE (“Agence pour l’Enseignement Français à l’Etranger”) network since
the beginning of the 2016 school year. It welcomes students of all nationalities, from
kindergarten to high school. The school aims to promote personal development and help
students to improve their autonomy and critical thinking skills. Students are encouraged to strive
for excellence, while valuing group work and respect for others. The School is accredited by the
French national education system.

The Association of Parents of the French International School of Yangon - Joseph Kessel, through
its Management Committee, is in charge of the financial and administrative management of the
LFIR.

By registering one of your children in the LFIR, your family becomes de facto an active member
of the Association until the end of your children's schooling at the LFIR. The membership fee for
the Association is 30,000 MMK per family and is included in the tuition fees detailed below. As
such, you certify that you have read and approved the Association's articles of Association and
its internal regulations.

The deregistration of all the children in your family from the LFIR, and no matter the origin of
this deregistration, necessarily, automatically and irrevocably results in the removal of your status
as an active member of the Association.

The LFIR is a non-profit educational institution. Schooling at the LFIR is subject to a fee for any
student enrolled, regardless of nationality. Since tuition fees represent the totality of the LFIR's
income, the effective receipt of these fees is a condition for the proper functioning of the school.

The amount of the various fees is, as a general rule, updated once a year, but may be further
updated, without notice, if special circumstances so require.

Students whose mother tongue is not French might have to sit a test in order to validate their
registration. Depending on the test results, parents may be offered an adapted scheme by
qualified staff to improve French proficiency.

The LFIR takes registrations for the 2021/2022 school year for students from Toute Petite Section
(TPS) (Pre-Nursery – 2 years old) to Seconde (Year 10) in live instruction, and on a case-by-case
basis for Première (Year 11) and Terminale (Year 12) classes.

The Financial Regulations can be found on the LFIR website which is updated annually. The
registration or re-registration of a student at the French International School of Yangon -Joseph
Kessel, implies the unconditional acceptance of the conditions set out below:

                                                                                                   2

IV- DEPOSIT

In order to limit small one-off cash payments during the year (third liability insurance, AES, exam
fees…) families have the option of making a deposit; either by bank transfer at the time of
payment of tuition fees (after having informed the financial service); or in cash at the cashier
desk.

You will receive by email, a summary after each transaction to inform you of the remaining
available balance.

At the end of the school year, the balance will be returned to you or can be carried over to the
following year, at your convenience.
                                                                                                 5
V- SOLIDARITY FUND

As a French school abroad, the LFIR must be able to offer support to families who may encounter
financial difficulties. The LFIR social fund is a mechanism designed to help families to cover
school and school life expenses on an occasional basis. These may include, in whole or in part,
tuition fees, school trip fees, purchase of teaching materials, etc. This social fund is funded each
year by a contribution of USD 50 per child enrolled in the school, invoiced in addition to and
jointly with tuition fees.

At the beginning of the school year, the Head of School informs the families of the procedures
to apply for social assistance. The aid may take the form of a sum of money paid or a benefit in
kind. No claim may be made in the event of refusal to grant such assistance.

VI- ACTIVITY COSTS IN EXTRACURRICULAR TIME (AES):

A list of activities organised within the school is proposed per period.

Children choose as many activities as they want, there is no limit to the number of activities they
can choose. They undertake to continue the activity throughout the entire period. There will be
no modification possible during the period.

Extra-curricular activity fees are not refundable for any reason.

The cost per hour of activities per period is US$ 45, regardless of the number of weeks included
in the period. For some activities that would take place outside the school, additional fees may
be charged.

Registration to AES is taken into account only if they are accompanied by the payment. For
families who have made deposit, a simple registration by email will be requested.

VII- SPORTS ASSOCIATION

In addition to the sport practiced by students as part of the curriculum (and any Extra-Curricular
Activities "AES" with a sporting character), the LFIR offers students, from elementary school
onwards, the possibility of joining the LFIR Sports Association throughout the year (age limit
may vary according to the number of students enrolled and the activity).

From the back to school, several sports clubs will be available to students. Supervised by
different sports coaches, the students will have several training sessions per week (one can take
place on Saturday) and may be leading to participate in inter-school tournaments in Yangon
(expenses covered by the LFIR), or within the Asia-Pacific zone of the AEFE (expenses to be
borne by the families).

Depending on the training days, students will have the opportunity to join several clubs. It should
be noted that a year-round commitment is an essential condition and that no reimbursement
                                                                                                  6
during the year can be requested by the families. Attendance at training sessions is imperative
in order not to penalize the progress of the different teams.

The cost of annual membership is US$450 per sport discipline.

The membership fees will be invoiced upon registration. The payment of the membership fee is
a condition for the student's official registration in the said club(s).

Membership fees are to be paid in full by September 15, 2021.
It is also possible to pay in 2 instalments at the latest on the dates indicated below:
             o US$300 due on September 15, 2021;
             o US$150 due on January 15, 2022.

year.
