How to Check Grades • Student Progress Center • ebr.edgear.net/progress • Log in using same username and password that student uses at school
Student Progress Center CHECK IN ON YOUR CHILD An account has already been created for your Student. The Username and the Password is the same as your student uses to sign in to their Chromebook.
Requirements for Promotion • In order to be a 10th grader, a student must have 5 credits including 1 credit in English and 1 credit in math. • In order to be an 11th grader, a student must have 12 credits including 2 credits in English and 2 credits in math. • A student must progress to the next grade in order to return to BRMHS, even if they meet the GPA requirement.
Grades and GPA • Only semester grades count toward Credits and GPA. The Fall Semester ends at Winter Break and The Spring Semester ends at the end of the school year in May. • High School credits earned before the 1st day of 9th grade appear on transcripts but are not calculated in the GPA. • Regular classes are on the 4 point scale, Honors and AP Classes are on the 5 point scale. • If a student earns an F in a class either semester, they must attend Summer School to recover the credit. D, C, B, and A are all passing grades. • 1 semester of an AP class cannot be combined with 1 semester of a regular class.

Library Information The library is open before school and during lunch. Students are able to check out books both in person and online (eBooks). If students need help or assistance with Chromebooks, they should report to the library.
Summer Reading Students are to read at least two books (one fiction and one non- fiction) Students will take AR test on books from summer reading. Midway deadline: September 10, 2021 for freshmen September 9, 2021 for sophomores
Summer Reading Deadline for 4 ½ week Midway Point Check AR Quizzes must be taken by September 10, 2021 for freshmen September 9, 2021 for sophomores Starting September 11, students must read and quiz on books that are within their ZPD.

Behavior Expectations At BRMHS 2021-22 At BRMHS we expect ALL students to: Adhere to the expectations and norms of every classroom they attend. Follow rules and regulations outlined in the EBRPSS Students’ Rights & Responsibilities Handbook and expectations written in the “golden” pages of their Daily Student Planner.
Behavior Expectations At BRMHS 2021 -22 Respect ALL authority figures, peers, and themselves. Refrain from disturbing the Classroom. Refrain from using your cell phone (turn it off).
Behavior Expectations At BRMHS 2021 -22 Dress appropriately for class. Follow the BRMHS dress code (in the “golden pages” of the Daily Student Planner).
Behavior Expectations At BRMHS 2021-22 BRMHS Staff will use the following Behaviorial Interventions if a student does not meet expectations: 1. Issue a WARNING. 2. Contact parents (email or phone). 3. Submit a behavior report (referral) to the Discipline Office.
Behavior Expectations At BRMHS 2021 -22 CYBER BULLYING The most common places where cyber bullying occurs are: • Social Media, such as Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and Tik Tok • Text messaging and messaging apps on mobile or tablet devices • Instant messaging, direct messaging, and online chatting over the internet • Online forums, chat rooms, and message boards, such as Reddit • Email • Online gaming communities stopbullying.gov
Behavior Expectations At BRMHS 2021-22 At BRMHS we also expect ALL students to: Refrain from cyber bullying, threats, harassment and/or sexual harassment . Report any instances of cyberbullying/bullying to any school staff and/or school administration via email or phone call.
Behavior Expectations At BRMHS 2021-22 The BRMHS Discipline Office will use the following consequence options if necessary: 1. Issue a WARNING. 2. Contact parents (email or phone). 3. Refer student to school counselor and/or I Care counselor.
4. Issue a Time-Out Room Session. 5. Issue a In-School Suspension (ISS) 6. Issue a Suspension at an Alternative Site (Assigned to the EBR Discipline Center) 7. Recommendation for Expulsion 8. Loss of Magnet Status
Academic Honors Policy •The BRMHS Academic Honors Policy can be found in the “golden” pages in the Daily Student Planner. Please encourage your child to read the policy.
Academic Honors Policy PLAGIARISM • Please make sure your child understands the meaning of plagiarism. Stress the importance of citing references accordingly. • Violating this policy can result in a “zero” on the test or assignment plus an academic dishonesty hearing which may have the consequence of suspension, loss of magnet status, or recommendation for expulsion.
