About Us...
For over 20 years, we have been dedicated to presenting the
highest level of education and technology in the Esthetic (Skin
Care & Makeup) and Nail Specialty fields.
The instructors at New York Institute of Beauty are fully
licensed professionals with vast experience and knowledge in
their fields. Our instructors excel in both academic and practical instruction. Many of our
instructors also serve as New York State Board License Examiners, so you’re sure to learn all
that is necessary to pass a New York State License Examination. Our instructors will serve as
mentors and role models, to assist you in your career development and business focus. This
combined with a professional and nurturing administrative staff with an excellent job placement

With the 2020 COVID-19 Pandemic, many businesses and schools were forced to make
major decisions about their future. Staff and Ownership of New York Institute of Beauty
knew that in order to be there for our students and graduates, we needed to work harder
than ever. Within 5 days of being told that on campus education was suspended
indefinitely, NYIB was able to make the successful transition to Distance Learning. Over the
last year, staff have worked hard and continuously looked to the future, adapting often to
changes ensuring that our students were given the best experience possible. In a world that
has become technology centric, we are committed to keeping the personal touch that our
industry thrives on.
ADMISSIONS
We now offer both Virtual and On-Campus Interviews. Prospective students can meet our
Education Team from the comfort of their own home or schedule a time to visit around our
campus. Our Admissions Team is there to assist you in every step of the way to help you
follow your passion.
HYBRID CURRICULUM
At NYIB, students experience a true hybrid- style of learning with rotating weeks of virtual
and on-site learning from the beginning! With a combination of live video sessions, our
private NYIB app, and the MindTap Platform by Milady, students are able to gain their
theory knowledge of the Esthetics industry from home one week, with their following week
of hands- on skills education occurring on campus! During the on-site skills portion of their
Esthetics or Advanced Esthetics Programs, students have the ability to gain the hands on
skills necessary to succeed out in the industry, as well as prepare for their State Board
Practical examinations.
STUDY GROUPS
NYIB Instructors hold voluntary study groups monthly to allow students the opportunity to
learn even more about the topics taught in the classroom. Students are able to send their
questions in ahead of time and have one on one conversations with industry professionals.
LIVE EVENTS/WORKSHOPS
NYIB, in partnership with many amazing companies from the Beauty and Esthetic Industry,
host multiple live events and workshops each month. Students and graduates are invited to
participate, gain knowledge in many varying aspects of the industry, and build networking
relationships. These opportunities occur both virtually and/or on site!
POST-GRADUATION
NYIB invites their graduates to return for further training and assistance. Employment
assistance is offered for life, with a private Job Board accessible only to NYIB students and
graduates, as well as multiple Career Nights held each year.

Beauty Essentials
84 Hours
This course is designed as an introduction to beauty
makeup with an emphasis on the techniques
required today in the beauty, entertainment and
fashion industries. Regardless of which of
these areas you intend to work in, mastery of
beauty makeup is a must. In this course you
will start by learning facial analysis, base
matching and application, correction,
contours, highlights, as well as a focus on
eyes and lips. The course finishes with
complete makeup applications ranging from one
hundred percent corrective to natural makeup.

staple of professional makeup artists. Learn their craft in a hands-
on course that covers two-dimensional and three dimensional
