Amintore Galli Theater: Don Quixote

Ukrainian Classical Ballet
The Galli Theater, in collaboration with the ATER Foundation, hosts the Ukrainian Classical Ballet, the Kiev corps
de ballet, on its stage.
The Ukrainian company presents to the public Don Quixote, a ballet in three acts based on the famous novel by
Miguel de Cervantes,music by Ludwig Minkus.
With the choreography of Marius Petipa perform among others, Olga Golytsia, award-winning Étoile of the
National Opera of Ukraine, 'Taras Shevchenko', in the role of Kitri, star of this ballet.
While the novel by Miguel de Cervantes focuses on the adventures of Don Quixote, a knight fond of chivalrous
novels, so much so as to confuse his life with the story of his readings, the ballet instead focuses mainly on the
story of the beautiful Kitri, daughter of an innkeeper, who falls in love with Basilio, a penniless barber played by
Jan Va?a. The story departs from Cervantes' novel, but offers the ballet the opportunity to perform variations of
Spanish dance, bringing elements of the typical folklore of that land.
Rimini and the Galli Theater are thus also part of the solidarity circuit created by regional and national theaters in
support of Ukrainian artists, with a show of high artistic value.
Tickets are available at the Galli theater box office and online. The proceeds are donated to support Ukrainian
people.

Exhibition at the City Museum of Dante's Hell, Purgatory and Paradise illustrated by famous artists
The documentary exhibition entitled 'The imagined comedy' is proposed as part of the Francesca 2021 project.
Dante's Hell, Purgatory and Paradise illustrated by famous artists, shows the birth of the 'imagined' Comedy in the
meaning of the story through images.
The exhibition collects some rare examples of ancient Comedies together with the most recent forms of illustrated
writing: from graphic novels to manga up to pop-up books. in addition the splendid lithographic plates made in
1850 by Franz Adolf Adolf Stürler complete the exhibition.

Photo exhibition as part of Interazioni 2022 at the City Museum
As part of the intercultural festival Interazioni, promoted by ISUR (Institute of Human Sciences in Rimini), a
photographic exhibition entitled Mapuche.
A journey among the People of the Earth. Environment, repression, culture and rEsistance.
The photographs exhibited highlight the Mapuche people's requests for recognition and the struggles against the
excessive exploitation of resources in their ancestral territory. They also show love and respect for Mother Earth,
a sacred bond that is reflected in the protection of Mapuche natural sacred sites from impactful and polluting
projects at the cost of their lives.
Authors of the exhibition are Raul Marinelli and the EcoMapuche association.

Vele al Terzo Rimini, the past and present of our seafaring

Seafaring festival
Vele al Terzo Rimini, a Rimini Social Promotion Association, part of the board of the "Mariegola delle Vele al
Terzo and the Working Boats of Romagna" Association, proposes gatherings of historic boats from all the ports of
Romagna.
At the port of Rimini the Historic Boats with their colorful "Sails in the Wind" create a typical scenario of the Riviera
Romagnola.
A show in which the traditional uses and customs of the Ancient Romagnola Seafaring come to life. A re-
evocative cultural event addressed to all.
It is possible to take free guided tours on the moored boats, where the crews tell the story and characteristics of
the historic boats of Romagna.
There is also an exhibition of historical fishing equipment organized in collaboration with the E'Scaion Museum.
In case of rain the event takes place on Sunday 12 June.

Fenix Trophy

A revolutionary international sporting event: the Amateur Champions League in the name of friendship
Take eight teams coming from 7 different European countries. Set them side by side in a UEFA-approved
international tournament with groups and a Final 8. It is not the Champions League but the FENIX Trophy that
was born as an idea during the pandemic to unite, connect and share. "Making Friends, not millionaires" is the
slogan of presentation, embraced by 8 realities of European amateur football, including two Italian: Brera FC, the
Milanese football club that promoted the event, and AS Lodigiani football 1972. For all the matches of the FENIX
Trophy, it is expected that the home team will offer an all-round welcome to the opponents. For once, the amateur
case is not only a means to get closer to professionalism, but an opportunity to develop projects that are not only
related to the results on the field. The current football system sees the 5 main European leagues as a point of
arrival. As you move down a level, the clubs are increasingly poor and left to themselves, and due to this, they are
willing to do everything to get to the top: money becomes a priority. The participating teams blacklist the word
"commodification," and "Making Friends" becomes the watchword with this project.
A mission that is a true manifesto of football disconnected from the big business. The FENIX is an invitation
tournament, more for the affinity of feelings, friendship, and values than for conquest on the field. The teams
represent 7 European countries: Italy, Spain, Poland, Germany, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, and the
Czech Republic.
The trophy symbol is a phoenix, the legendary creature that rises and regenerates from its ashes. FENIX is also
an acronym that encapsulates the hallmarks of such competition. F stands for Friendly, E for European, N for Non-
professional, I for Innovative, and X for Xenial, from the Greek ?????, which refers both to the concept of foreigner
and hospitality.
The Tournament consists of 2 groups of 4 teams. While the group stage is scheduled in May, the Final 8 will take
place in Rimini on 11 and 12 June. The first teams will compete with each other, and the second, third and fourth
will do the same until drawing up a final ranking. All the clubs will meet in the same headquarter, also supporting
several charitable activities in accordance with a stable partnership at the beginning of the season.

Rimini Classica and the G. Rossini Symphony Orchestra.
The voices of Clarissa Vichi and Filippo Malatesta are accompanied by a rock band and a string and brass
ensemble, for a journey that includes the most famous songs of the most important rock band in the world: U2.
