Go inside the minds and bodies of extreme athletes to explore the psychology of their motivations and learn about the science behind some of the riskier sports, such as wingsuit flying, ice and rock climbing, parkour, free diving, and much more. Beyond Human Limits: Extreme Sports focuses on the environments in which extreme athletes perform in the air, on snow and ice, and on the ground, as well as the science related to these extreme sports. In this high-energy exhibition students will experience the thrill of extreme sports in exciting challenges, interactive exhibits and immersive environments. They’ll explore the technology, creativity and innovation inherent to these sports. They will meet passionate athletes and hear their incredible stories, and take in the artistry, motivation and thoughtfulness that goes into everything they do. Portable Digital Planetarium Bring the wonders of the night sky to your school with our Portable Digital Planetarium. Gaze into distant galaxies, marvel at the Milky Way, and learn the legends of the constellations. Max capacity: 25 students Above and Beyond An educator-led experience with engaging content adaptable to all ages and curriculum connections from Primary to Grade 12. Explore everything from cycles (daily/seasonal changes) and the sun’s energy (climate change, auroras), to space exploration, distant stars and galaxies, and the very origins of our universe. Stories of the Night Sky Stories of the Night Sky is an astronomical adventure that integrates traditional Mi’kmaw teachings with current cosmological understanding. Taking place in our Portable Digital Planetarium, students will be immersed in the story of Muin and the Seven Bird Hunters which takes place over the night sky and across seasons.
