• Four-year course of study in one CFA discipline area (Dance, Musical Theatre, Theatre or Visual Arts)
• CFA discipline classes meet daily for 85 minutes and are worth two honors-weighted credits
• No academic prerequisites to audition or apply; however, Algebra I in 8th grade is recommended
• Classes are taught by a faculty of professional arts educators actively involved in the local arts community,
  supplemented by workshops and master classes led by guest or visiting artists
• Emphasis is placed on exhibiting or displaying student work in gallery shows and stage performances
• Senior performance showcase and art gallery exhibit are student-driven efforts that serve as a capstone project
  at the end of senior year
• Opportunity to take core academic Arts-Infused courses
• Opportunity to travel and to participate in internships, festivals, competitions, workshops and master classes
  either locally, regionally, nationally and globally
• Opportunity to enroll in a second CFA discipline area as an upperclassman
• FCFA (Friends of Center for the Arts) 501(c)3 Booster Organization provides teacher/student support
• Students acquire artistic skills necessary for successful art careers and higher education
• Students acquire skills that will serve them in any career path = #LifeReady!

• Students may audition for one or two CFA discipline areas
      *If you choose to audition for two discipline areas, you must complete the video/google link
      submission and in-person audition for BOTH areas
• Auditions are comprised of TWO PARTS this year
   • PART ONE – Audition Video or Google Portfolio submission due January 10, 2022
      *Refer to the application or the CFA website for specific requirements and details
   • PART TWO – Live in-person audition @ Henrico HS on Saturday, February 5, 2022
      *Audition times are indicated in the application per last name
      *Check-in 10 minutes prior to the start of your audition
      *Students must stay for the entire audition
      *Parents may not attend the audition (we will have a waiting area for parents)

√ Attend CFA Open House at Henrico High School on Monday, November 22, 2021 @ 7:00 p.m.!
√ Practice and begin working on your audition performance and/or visual arts portfolio now!
√ All audition requirements as well as Sample Audition Videos & Tips are posted on the CFA website!
√ Directions on how to upload your Audition/Portfolio google link are posted on the CFA website
√ Monday, January 10, 2022 – Audition/Portfolio video submission & completed application DUE
    •   Paper applications must be postmarked by January 10, 2022
    •   HCPS online application system will close at 11:59 p.m. on January 10, 2022
√ Acceptance Status available online and by email - March 11, 2022
