4/1/19 Programme Focus ü “Have a Go” is the programme theme ü Courage is pillar Year 8’s are focusing on in Term 1 ü Uniqueness in the over arching theme for Year 8s ü Peer support enables these ideals to be achieved Indigenous Culture 4
4/1/19 Cooking Benefits - Pride in their achievements and themselves - Increased self efficacy - Greater understanding of how to achieve daunting tasks - Better able to create an environment where everyone is allowed to be unique - Deeper understanding of peers and their needs - All these are transferable to school and home life 7

4/1/19 Student Responsibilities • Prepare for a challenge • Attend the student meetings • Read the information provided • Be proactive in preparing for the trip • Be prepared to learn, to try new ideas, work with others and get the most out of the trip • Foster positivity • Ask for help • Get excited!!! Essentials • Sleeping Bag • Sleeping Mat • Rain Coat • Thermals x 2 • Morning tea and lunch with out nuts • Students without these items or inappropriate items with be given new items and the cost will be added to the student’s account 11
