2021 EUROPEAN INDIVIDUAL CHAMPIONSHIP for GOLFERS with
DISABILITY
Dates: August 21 - 24, 2021 (Practice day on the 21st August)
To be contested over the; O Connor Jnr Course, Amendoeira Resort,
Algarve, Portugal.
Designed by Christy O'Connor Jnr., this course complements the neighbouring Faldo Course and
also takes full advantage of being situated in a fertile valley. Its various water features, both
lakes and watercourses that are spread throughout the entire course, demand accuracy and
test from all golfers, and the rich topsoil has been skilfully landscaped and planted with mature
palm trees, affording a lush, ornamental setting like an extensive oasis.
This course has tees that are generally connected to the fairways, but its greater overall
distance, the water hazards and big greens provide its challenge. Golfers must also be prepared
to read the subtly contoured putting surfaces that are strong features.

The European Golf Association is most grateful to the Portuguese Golf Federation and the
Amendoeira Resort for hosting the 2021 European Individual Championships for Golfers with
Disability. I also extend my thanks to the members for making their superb golf course
available for this championship. All competitors will no doubt enjoy such a beautiful venue, and
as always, friendships will be enhanced by the friendly rivalry which this event provides.

The registration desk will be open till 19:00 hours on Saturday
August 21st in the Championship office located at the Golf Club.
**Registration must be completed by Saturday – failure to
register will remove the player from the Championship start**
20.00 Welcome reception (Pending Covid-19 Protocol).

15.00 Flash Closing Ceremony with EGA Representative and Prize
Giving ceremony on the 18th green directly after the last flight
has finished.
*If resort accommodation to golf course assistance is required
this must be organised by the individual at the resort
reception/concierge.

both the welcome and prize giving ceremony.

EDGA ELIGIBILITY ASSESSOR
There will be no assessments at this tournament, all players must be confirmed WR4GD players at
registration.
If you need medical care or if you don’t have a buggy indication and require a buggy to play, you will be
required to make contact with an Eligibility Assessor prior to the tournament.
