Sarah Johnson Manager Qualifications Skills for employment Courses to improve your wellbeing English, Maths, ESOL, Business Administration, Customer Service, Teaching Assistant, Computer/Digital Skills Entry Level Designed for people with no qualifications and will help you improve your reading, writing and digital skills. Level 1 To gain basic knowledge and skills. This may also be linked to employment skills. 4 Learner Success! Karen Not only has it helped me, but I can now show my daughter how to do spreadsheets and formulas. Paul It’s really surprised me, as I was nervous to do it but now I feel very confident. Never think you can’t come back into education. It’s there for everyone. 5 Helping You Learn Qualification (Vocational) courses only If you are in receipt of the following benefits, you may be eligible for full fee remission: Job Seeker’s Allowance Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) in the Work Related Activity Group (WRAG) Universal Credit and earning less than £338.00 a month (single claim) or £541.00 (household claim) Aged 19-23 yrs studying a first full Level 2 qualification Fee remission is also available for eligible co-funded learners who are employed but on a low income (less than £16,009.50 annual gross salary) We have policies, systems and resources available to support learners’ individual needs. You may need advice on the course you have chosen or information and guidance to help you find the right course for you. You can also tell us about any prior knowledge or experience that will help with your personal development and career. Alternatively just call in to see us at Ashby Link. 7 English, Maths & ESOL Functional English and maths courses are free for eligible learners who want: a formal Functional English and maths qualification to increase confidence using numbers to increase confidence with reading, writing and discussion skills to demonstrate English and maths skills on a CV to progress on to further education English topics will include: developing discussion and presentation skills spelling using punctuation effectively writing for different purposes proof reading and correcting own writing Maths topics will include: fractions, decimals and percentages calculating with money and measures using shapes to solve everyday problems graphs and charts English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) This course is suitable for learners for whom English is their second language. We provide a friendly and supportive environment to learn, helping you to develop your reading, writing, speaking and listening skills. You will be able to improve: grammar spelling punctuation vocabulary There may be a charge for ESOL courses, depending on your circumstances.
