Location The University of London Institute in Paris (ULIP) is located on the Left Bank between the famous Hôtel des Invalides, with its sumptuous golden dome, and the beautiful pont Alexandre III. There are many ways to reach ULIP: Train: If you are taking the Eurostar into Paris, you will arrive at Gare du Nord, which is 25 minutes away from ULIP on public transporation (otherwise known as ‘Métro’, ‘RER’, ‘Bus’ and/or ‘Tram’). Airplane: There are two main airports, Orly and Roissy Charles de Gaulle (CDG). It takes from 45 minutes to an hour by public transportation from one the above airports to ULIP. Car: There is a carpark only a couple of minutes away from ULIP. You can book your spot online on www.opngo. com/en. Simply enter ‘Invalides’ in the search bar and select the Invalides parking. The cost for the day can vary between 25 euros and 40 euros. The closest metro stop is the ‘Invalides’ station (line 8 or 13 or RER C) which is located 2 minutes walking distance from ULIP. If you are thinking of taking public transportation from the train station or the airport, please visit the following link to plan your journey: ratp.fr/en/itineraires/. If you have installed Citymapper and Uber applications on your smartphone, please note that these work seamlessly in Paris. Nearby Hotels There are a number of hotels close to the Institute. Hotels in the area are not the most affordable option but you can find further information on hotels in all price ranges by visiting the Paris Tourist Office website (en.parisinfo.com/where-to-sleep-in-paris/Hotels).
