checklist of Resources for DAy 4 For resources listed in RED, click to follow link to external site to download template. Don't feel under pressure to get everything done / made. Last year's feedback showed requests for even more arts & crafts and activities, but we appreciate how busy family life can be too! We just want to make sure there are plenty of options! Throughout the week you will need to have: Scissors, glue, paper/card, tinfoil, sellotape, colouring pencils or markers Dice and counters for board games (buttons or anything small will do!) Day 4 Arts & Crafts: Thank you basket template, A4 card, Queen of Heaven and crowns templates, ideas for crowning Our Lady statue in video (e.g. flowers / tinfoil, cotton wool), Saints Bingo Cards (optional extra game!) Into the Deep: Forgiving Hearts craft template, ribbon or string / Forgiveness Board game template Drama: home-made or shop-bought cupcakes and icing and decorating suggestions as per separate recipe card, Carlo Acutis cake topper template, lollipop sticks or straws Disclaimer: On this resource page you will find links to external websites. Day 4 - Into the Deep: unforgiving servant craft Colour in the heart, then carefully cut it out. Cut out the messages below and stick onto the heart. Punch through the holes at the top and push strong through. Tie a knot at the end of each string, and hang up in your room! The world needs forgiving hearts!

Day 4 - Drama: cupcake RECIPE (or you can use shop-bought ones if that's easier!) Prep Time: 15 minutes Cook Time: 25 minutes Decorating Time: As long as you want! Makes: 12 cupcakes For the cupcakes: 125g butter, softened 125g caster sugar 125g self-raising flour 2 medium eggs 2 tablespoons milk Pinch of salt (optional) Ideas for decorating your Carlo Acutis cupcakes: For the buttercream icing: Roll out icing (to make the hosts) 125g/4oz Butter (room temperature) Small circle cutter (or a milk bottle lid) 225g/8oz Icing Sugar (sieved) Sprinkles / Smarties / Chocolate Chips as rosary beads Few Drops of vanilla essence White / coloured icing pen (or make your own icing Food colouring (optional) and use an icing bag with a small nozzle) Lollipop Sticks / straws, sellotape and template (for Method: Carlo cupcake toppers) Preheat the oven to 190C, Gas Mark 5. Line a muffin tray with 12 cupcake cases. Cream the butter and sugar together in a bowl using a wooden spoon or electric whisk. Beat until soft and fluffy. Then add the flour, eggs, milk, and salt and whisk until the mixture is smooth. o t oven! Use an ice-cream scoop or spoon, to divide the mixture between all H the paper cases making sure to get a nice even amount of mixture h elp! Ask a g in each. Place muffin tin in the oven and bake for 15 minutes, until cupcakes are a light golden colour. ro or Remove the tins from the oven. Leave the cupcakes to cool in the wn up f tins for a few minutes. Then transfer them to a wire rack to cool. Once completely cooled, the cupcakes can be decorated. To Decorate: Make the buttercream icing by beating together the butter, icing sugar and vanilla essence until light and creamy. Add a few drops of food colouring if you would like! Spread on top of the cooled cupcakes. Watch the video for ideas on how to decorate your cupcakes. Then enjoy!
