SPORTS BACKGROUND Growing up in Salt Lake City, Utah - USA, I was a product of my natural surroundings, enjoying both Utah’s incredible mountains and iconic desert landscapes. Camping on weekends with my parents stoked a desire to travel the world and seek adventure. Beyond racing a motorcycle, I frequently participate in competitive cycling - both on and off road. I am fortunate to have found a career that is also my greatest passion - skiing. other bike shot?
MOTIVATION FOR DAKAR 2019 I am always looking for the next challenge to help me grow, learn and ultimately become a better person. Desert racing at home in Utah combined with a passion for travel led me to my first Moroccan cross country rally in 2012 and again in 2015. Finishing the Africa Eco Race with a good result (6th overall & 1st in class) in 2018 gave me the confidence to explore additional challenges. Dakar 2019 is the next logical step. I have found a real passion for the sport of rally and hope to help it gain exposure in the USA.

TRAINING I am never not training for Dakar 2019. Every pound I lift or pedal stroke I make comes with an eye toward January 6, 2019. A strict CrossFit regimen combined with hours of desert riding and navigation training will have me well prepared for Dakar 2019.
SUPPORT In previous races I’ve been lucky enough to have product support from several companies including: Fox and Smith Optics. I am currently investigating opportunities for Dakar 2019. Beyond product support, I am self-funding this race and do not need additional support in order to participate.
