CYCLE PALESTINE 2015 27 September – 4 October 2015 The Itinerary Join us for a stunning 5 day, 275 km cycle challenge across the West Bank. Sunday 27th September Fly to Palestine You will meet with MAP staff at a London airport and fly out together. A direct transfer from Tel Aviv airport will take you to your hotel in the ancient city of Nablus with its bustling old centre and wonderful souks. DAY 1 MONDAY 28th September DAY 2 Cycle from ancient Nablus city to the divided border TUESDAY 29th September town of Qalqilya Cycle the Separation wall to Ramallah On the first day we will head out west leaving the busy city of Nablus behind us on the open roads We will set off early this day from Qalqilya. The ride can only go up and it’s a long way across the desert – including a two hour trek (where even bikes can’t go), then it’s uphill most of the way with breath taking views across these ancient lands all the way to Hebron, the most populated city in the West Bank. Sponsorship Targets To take part you are required to pay a non-refundable 25% of target income raised by the deposit fee of £350 which is used to secure your 27th June 2015 – £625 place. In addition to this, you will be required to raise £2,500 in sponsorship. After all costs are deducted, 50% of target income raised by this sponsorship money will go towards MAP projects 27th July 2015 – £1250 helping Palestinians. 75% of target income raised by 27th August 2015 – £1875 Cost Breakdown 100% of target raised by Deposit £350 27th October 2015 – £2500 Flights, accommodation, meals £700 and full ground support for the week Is it safe to visit the West Bank? Minimum donation to MAP £1800 MAP has been working in the West Bank for over 20 years.
