Competition Regulations of Kyokushin karate WKB Open European Championship on "Kumite"and «Kata» among children, juniors (male and female), adults (male and female) and seniors(male and female)
Purpose and Tasks Raising the level of heath, physical and spiritual development of population Development and popularization of Kyokushin karate in Ukraine and Europe Raising of athletes’ skills Improvement of judges’ practical experience Settingup good relationship between athletes of different federations and regions of Ukraine, Europe and the World. The time and place of competition 1. The Open European Cup is held on May 15-18 2020. 2. The address: Ukraine, Poltava, 83 Pushkin street, pavilion 2 of National Police Administration’s Sports complex in Poltava region. 3. May 15,2020 – arrival day May 18,2020 – departure day Leadership of competition holding and judgement 1. The common leadership of organization and holding the competition is given to Poltava regional federation of Kyokushin karate and Public Association ‘Ukrainian Association “Kyokushin Budo Karate” 2. Direct competition holding is assigned to Public Association “Ukrainian Association “Kyokushin Budo Karate” and the main panel of judges. 3. The chief judge – Sensei Kostenko Oleksandr (3rd dan) Supreme judge – Vsevolodov Sergei (7th dan) 4. The organization is not responsible for accidents or injuries happening during competition. Competition program 2
May 15 (Friday): 11:00 -18:00 Teams and participants’ registration (all categories) The program for May 16-17th will be announced after April 15th 2020 18:00 – 20:00 Seminar for judges, teams of judges formation; consultation for teams representatives and staff; 21:00 Sayonara for teams representatives and coaches (free for judges, for others the price is 600 UAH for 1 person) May16 (Saturday): Competition on kumite and kata May17 (Sunday): Competition on kumite and kata May18 (Monday): The end of competition. Participants’ departure Participants 1. Any amount of sportsmen or memebers of Kyokushin karate teams of any sport organizations (federations, associations, clubs etc.) can take part in the open competition, but the organization has the right to reject an application for competition without explaining the reason. The participants must submit the following documents to the credentials committee: application form for participation in an established form with medical admission; birth certificate or passport; an application form with permission to take part in the competition signed by parents/ personal application form for participation in the competition for adults; insurance policy. Each team goes through credentials committee with the obligatory presence of all its athletes and coach representative. 2. Participants compete wearing white dogi form and personal protective gear (in Kumite section) according to the rules of the Kyokushin Karate WKB in Ukraine: Personal protective equipment for children - boys: headgear, shin and foot protection, groin protection, hands protection. 3
Protection for girls: headgear, shin and foot protection, groin protection, hands protection, chest protector worn under a white t-shirt, not covering solar plexus. Male personal protection: groin protection. Female personal protection: groin protection, chest protection worn under a white T-shirt, not covering the solar plexus. Seniors (male and female) personal protection: headgear (optional), shin and foot protection, groin protection, hands protection, chest protector worn under a white t-shirt, not covering solar plexus (only female). People who do not have personal protective gears are not allowed to take part in competition!! Rules of the competition 1. Kumite competitions are held according to the rules of Kyokushin Karate WKB International Organization and according to the Olympic system. 2. Team structure: any number of participants in each weight category, 2 judges, 1 representative is required. 3. In case of insufficient number of members according to the applied applications, the Organizing Committee may make the following changes to the Regulations on these competitions: to combine some of the weighting categories; to hold competitions in circular manner for certain weight categories. Conditions for holding the competition 1. Competitions are held according to the present rules of Kyokushin karate WKB competition in Ukraine. 2. A team score is common for male and female participants. In order to determine the places of teams for personal-team priority, the results of all participants will be taken into account. Team points are awarded according to the rules of Kyokushin karate WKB competitions in Ukraine. Awarding 1. Athletes who took 1-3 places are awarded with cups, diplomas and medals of the appropriate degrees. 5
2. The teams, who took 1-3 places, are awarded with the cup of the appropriate degrees. Conditions for participants admission. Financing Rewards for participants of competitions, the rent of sports equipment and utility rooms, the place for holding competitions and office equipment, rent of tatami, payment for stationery, medications, medical staff and other staff, posters, programs and other needed attributes’ printing, advertising, transport and other expenses for organization and holding the competition are carried out at the expense of Poltava regional Kyokushin Karate Federation, interested institutions, organizations and sponsors. 2. All financial expenses for business trips of competitors, coaches and judges are paid by sending organizations. The order of preliminary and registered applications 1. Additional Information for conducting of the Open European Championship on Kyokushin karate WKB in the sections “Kumite” and “Kata” among children, youngsters (male and female), adults (male and female) and veterans May 15-18, 2020. 1. Filing of applications is conducted till 15.04.2020 according to the annex №1. It may happen that the additional information about the holding of competition and online registration with the help of modern applications will be sent. 2. The drawing of lots will take place on preliminary requests on May 1st 2020. 3. At the credentials committee each participant must have: parents' permission (for athletes under 18), passport or birth certificate, insurance policy. 4. The fees for participating in the Open European Cup in Kyokushin karate WKB in the sections “Kumite” and “Kata” among children, youngsters (male and female), adults (male and female) and veterans are: Aduts: Seniors: Younger and Childrens: Kumite 40 € Kumite 40 € Kumite 40 € Kata 40 € Kata 40 € Kata 40 € Kumite and Kata 60 € Kumite and Kata 60 € Kumite and Kata 60 € 5. Athletes perform wearing a clean dogi with Kyokushin karate ymbolic on it, belt of appropriate degree and protective equipment. The level of training of participants should not be less than 8. 6. Each team must necessarily provide two representatives for the refereeing. The uniform for judges: white shirt with short sleeve, dark blue tie, dark pants, personal whistle. The absence of team representative for judgment makes it impossible for a representative of such team to complain about competition organization or any decision taken by it. Judges and the representatives of the teams should obligatorily take part in judge seminar before competition. After listening to the seminar special badge is given which allows the coach and team representatives to be on tatami with their athlete. 9
