Term 3 Newsletter Directors Statement Hello to all of our amazing Whanau and Friends of Goodtime Music Academy! What an amazing term Term 2 it was! Firstly to excuse myself, my wife and I welcomed a beautiful baby girl who came a couple of weeks earlier than expected! This meant that I had to take some time, however the ship continued to sail north here at Goodtime thanks to Mike and the team for holding it all down. We finished Term 2 with a bang! 14 In-Studio concerts in a week as well as the majority of 35 schools receiving a performance opportunity of some kind, a (very unfortunately) postponed Hutts Got Talent, all of this really was a huge effort so a massive thanks to my team for seeing this through. Mike and myself also upgraded two of our five buses these holidays to give them an inside upgrade. This is long overdue and something we were pretty excited to get started on! We also have a bit of a surprise coming in a couple of weeks in regards to the buses which we can't wait to share with you all! We have also had some treats delivered at our studio which have been very popular indeed! Three Spacies machines have been keeping our families entertained for the past term, these have been a massive hit, and something that a lot of our parents have fun on as like me, I am sure they grew up playing at local dairies and arcade places! Our new Schools Team Leaders Dan and Taryn had a fantastic term. We have invested a lot more into training and development in this past term and we have really seen the positive influence this has had on the quality of lessons and the team as a unit! A timely reminder to make sure you are all taking advantage of our notes in our Parent Portal, as well as our online curriculum which is full tutorial video as well as digital copies of our lesson printouts. If you need help accessing any of these, please do not hesitate to ask how to access. Another exciting update is a BIG warm welcome to Sacred Heart Thorndon School to our Goodtime Family, we can't wait to teach our epic In-School Lessons there in Term 3! Welcome to term 3 anyway Whanau, and we can't wait to get into lessons and we look forward to see some of you throughout the term. Andy Enrol for Term 3 here!
Pinehaven Culvert Renewals Public Transport: Changes to Metlink bus services in your area Kia Ora, Due to sections of Sunbrae Drive and Pinehaven Road closing for culvert construction, bus 115’s route will be changing slightly to accommodate the closures. This means from July to mid October 2021 bus 115 will not be servicing Sunbrae Drive (between 1A and 5 Sunbrae Drive) and Pinehaven Road (between 1 Pinehaven Road and 34 Pinehaven Road) while the road is closed. Silverstream Station Access: during the detour and road closures- bus 115 will be stopping at stop 9499 – Silverstream School- Whitemans Road (opposite) (school stop) (outside New World) to allow passengers to access the station. Due to the necessary changes, bus 115 will be running a modified timetable to make sure bus/train connections can be met and passengers know when to expect the bus at their stop when travelling using the detour route. We are currently working on the new timetable for bus 115. This will be live on the Detours & Closures page on the Metlink website closer to the road closure dates. There will be closed bus stops on the closed roads and in nearby areas where there are restrictions for bus access. While some of the bus stops are closed, there will be temporary bus stops at key locations for passengers to catch bus 115. Look out for green posters at these temporary bus stops (orange circles on the map above). Existing bus stops are still open (white circles on the map above) during this time. This and more information is available on the Metlink website. Ngā Mihi, Metlink
