Track & Field Event Dates Regional Events • Assabet Technical High School – May 14th • Barnstable High School – May 14th • Milton Academy – May 15th • Springfield College – May 21st • Brockton High School – May 22nd • Essex Technical High School – May 22nd State Tournament: Saturday, June 11, 2022 • Harvard University as part of 2022 Summer Games
Advancement • All athletes will be able to advance on to the state competition
COVID Guidelines • All Return to Play guidelines can be found on Special Olympics MA website/ Resources for Coaches & Local Program page • Special Olympics MA currently in low-risk Category in Return to Play guidelines • Masks are recommended to be worn by all • PPE will still be provided by SOMA
Staffing & Volunteers • Brad and Rachel will be the SOMA staff members on site, along with GMT members: • Mandee Blair • Pat Diskin • Jack Gardner • Tom Ryan • Volunteers will be helping at the start and finish line, on the vectors, at staging, and at awards

8:30am Athlete Registration Opens
8:55am Opening Ceremony
9:00am Track Events Begin
11:30am Field Events Begin

Awards will be done after each eventOrder of Events
• Track Events
• 3000M Run; 1500M Walk; 800M Dash
• 400M Dash; 400M Walk
• 50M Dash / Unified 50M Dash
• 50M Assisted Walk; 50M Walk
• 100M Dash; Unified 100M Dash
• 100M Walk
• 200M Dash
• Field Events
• Running Long Jump / Unified Running Long Jump
• Shot Put
• Tennis Ball Throw; Softball Throw
• Turbo Javelin Throw / Unified Turbo Javelin ThrowVenue Map
Track & Field Event Information
• Have athletes arrive for the registration time
• Events will move quickly
• Teams should find a spot in the bleachers to use as their
team gathering area
• Will do a quick opening ceremonies/welcome
• Coaches should pick up their coach's packet at registration
• If you have any scratches, please submit them as soon as
possible to the registration table
• Relays will be done after field events have finished
• Coaches should submit relay declarations at the
registration tableTrack & Field Event Information
• Spectators should not go on the track
• Awards will be given at each event
• Athletes should go directly to the awards area to get their medal
after they complete their event
• Athletes should bring their own water
• SOMA will not be providing water
• Good Times Ice Cream Truck
• Free ice cream for athletes. Ice cream and food will be available for
purchase as well
• All event information, including the schedule and condensed heat
sheets can be found on the event page
