                              Welcome!
     The Foundry ‘tis the place to be jolly this Christmas! Bring along your friends,
      family, work team or clients for a relaxed Christmas function with friendly
                     Southern hospitality & first-class food & drinks.

  We have worked together with our Head Chef to bring you a fantastic option
for your Christmas function this year – build your own set menu for parties of 20 or
                                       more*.

                           Choose from one of three options:

-     Entrée & Main $55 pp (your choice of 2 entrée’s & 3 mains options)
-     Main & Dessert $50 pp (your choice of 3 mains & 3 dessert options)
-     3 Course $68pp (your choice of 2 entrée’s, 3 mains & 3 dessert options)

    Want to give your guests some extra options? Add as many as you would like:

-     Add an extra entrée option $5pp per added option
-     Add an extra main option $8pp per added option
-     Add an extra dessert option $5pp per option

E1. Creamy Pumpkin & Kumara Soup
A good old hearty soup of roasted pumpkin & kumara. Served with a mini garlic
loaf.
(gf option available)

E2. Seafood Bisque
A French classic made with locally sourced seafood. Served with a mini loaf.
(gf option available)

E3. Cajun Coated Crispy Green Lip Mussels
Fresh from Foveaux Straight, plump green lip mussels tossed through our special
Cajun spice & served with a lemon chilli sauce.

E4. Tarragon Tiger Prawns
Whole tiger prawns sautéed in a lemon butter sauce, served with citrus infused
jasmine rice. (gf)

E5. Baked Walnut & Cranberry Brie
A Kapati brie, baked in the oven, drizzled with Manuka honey, topped with
honey roasted walnuts, cranberries & served with melba toast. (gf option available)

E6. Duck a L’orange Pâté
Sautéed duck livers are then flambeed in Cointreau & blended with cream &
herbs to make a smooth & creamy pate. Served with chutney & seeded crisp
bread.

E7. Tomato, Onion & Goats Cheese Tart
Fresh tomato, Spanish onion & locally sourced goats cheese baked in a savoury
pastry accompanied by a basil flavoured mascarpone.

                                Mains

      Pick any 3 mains (add on more options for $8pp per option added)
            All mains come with seasonal veg & potato of the day.
M1. Cranberry Roast Lamb
Local Southland boneless lamb leg filled with a cranberry & almond stuffing, served
with a pan reduced cranberry jus.

M2. Turkey & Ham Roulade
Maple cured champagne ham encased in turkey breast, rolled & roasted, & served
with pan gravy. (gf)

M3. Tomahawk Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pud
600g prime ribeye on the bone. Served medium rare (only) with a beef & red wine
jus & a good old Yorkshire pudding.

M4. Parmesan Encrusted Salmon Fillet
Boneless NZ Regal salmon, topped with a parmesan & herb crust, oven baked &
served with a lemon cream sauce.

M5. Venison Rack with Brandy & Wild Cherries
Local farm raised venison, cooked medium rare (only), with a French brandy & wild
cherry sauce. (gf)

M6. Turkish Haloumi Crumbed Eggplant
Slices of eggplant coated in a haloumi crumb, stacked with spinach & rocket &
served with a spicy Turkish tomato confit.

                               Desserts

D1. Strawberry Gin Shortcake Trifle
An old English favourite with a Waikiwi twist. Layers of shortcake, strawberries &
cherries with a hint of Beefeater strawberry gin.

D2. Salted Caramel & Chocolate Eaton Mess
An absolute mess, but a delicious one! A mash up of chocolate & caramel ice
cream, meringue drops, berries, cream & topped with chocolate & salted caramel
sauce.

                                              D3. Christmas Ice Cream Cake
                                              We have layered 4 different “christmassy”
                                              ice creams together to form a delicious ice
                                              cream cake. (gf)

                                              D4. Eggnog Panna Cotta
                                              The classic Christmas drink served to you as
                                              a panna cotta, with a side of whiskey
                                              caramel sauce. (gf)

                                              D5. Ice Cream Plum Pudding
                                              All the flavours of a plum pud in our special
                                              home made ice cream served with a
                                              brandy sauce.

                                              D6. Pavlova Tower
                                              The classic Kiwi pav stacked to the heavens
                                              with strawberries, kiwifruit & lashings of
                                              whipped cream. (gf)
